It would have been SO COOL if Terry G had directed. His stuff tends to be kinda twisted, I'm looking forward to his new one.

As for Columbus vs Cuaron, Columbus went for the side of HP that I read to my under-10 siblings, whereas Cuaron went for the darker, more mature aspects of the books. They're both very definitely HP, but Cuaron abridged it in such a way as to make it worth watching even if you had read the books, but Columbus made it sort of Disneyish and didn't add very much.
