Raincoast books, the Canadian HP Publishers, have estimated that they've sold between 650,000 and 700,000 copies of the sixth Harry Potter book over the weekend.

Canada's Indigo Books said the chain did about 1,200 transactions a minute during the first two hours the book was available.
