Agreed. Little House on the Praire, Charlotte's web is appropriate for years 7-8 and younger, approximating. The Harry Potter series is a tad bit scary for those young folks, if you ask me, though I don't have any experience. Just assuming. The series is also complicated as well, so I guess it's more understandable for kids eight and up. These older ones are less likely to be frightened when reading and understand more.
