The May 2005 issue of
National Geographic Kids manages once again to squeeze in some tidbits for Potter fans.
The Guinness World Records article on page 4 quotes some Potter numbers:

Before the book hit stores, more than 5.3 million orders came in from around the world. In addition, a record 4.8 million copies of the book were printed for the first round of sales. Then, in one of the games pages, Draco Malfoy manages to make the list of Famous Villains, in which readers must match villains with the heroes they battle.
