John Williams, who composed and conducted the scores for '
Philosopher's Stone', '
Chamber of Secrets' and '
Prisoner of Azkaban', has been nominated for a Classical Brit Award for his work on the third Potter film.
Williams has been nominted in the new category of '
Best Soundtrack Composer'. His competition includes
Nigel Hess for '
Ladies in Lavender' and
Jocelyn Pook for the '
Merchant of Venice'.
The
Classical Brit Awards will be held at the
Royal Albert Hall in London on May 25th.
