Oh, I completely understand where it came from, but I think it's just wrong to make assumptions at this point. You know what they say about assuming. And like stated, Hagrid's story isn't as huge in OotP and plus I think they won't be working as long once Emma hits 16 so the 18 months thing might not even come into play...
