Mathys half wondered if he would be receiving enraged letters from Hogwarts parents once the word spread about what happened here, though he let the thought pass almost as soon as it had come. If they came, they came, and he would field their concerns professionally.

His head turned to offer Monsieur Vance his attention, though the boy's words did very little to reassure the man and his frustrations. He was willing to acknowledge that Monsieur Vance had followed instructions and dropped his wand as instructed without question and was not one of the more troublesome units in this fray, so that counted for something. "Nor did your peers create a hospitable environment by pointing wands at my headmistress," he replied coolly.
