Spencer; age 11, September 2097

Spencer, who had expected to be among the 'M's, was taken by surprise upon hearing his full surname. He recovered quickly, and hurried forward. The Sorting Hat was gonna read his mind and tell him all sorts of cool stuff about his DESTINY. He was dying to know if he'd be a swimming champion; obviously the Hat would be able to tell him!

Spencer plopped himself down on the stool. He felt the Hat skim the hairs on his head and got ready to start talking IMMEDIATELY, except that it instantly bellowed, "GRYFFINDOR!"

Oh. Well. That worked too!
