Kaiser simply graced Schmoe with a slight nod of the head, and sat back on his cushion when the man wandered away. Though... 'man' seemed like a bit of a stretch. Schmoe reminded Kaiser of an incredibly awkward teenage boy, and he sure knew a lot of those since he had started attending Hogwarts. He wondered, vaguely, if Schmoe and Drew would get along...

... and quickly stopped that line of thought. Thinking about Drew was really just asking for trouble, and was likely to have him sliding into a worse mood than he'd already put himself in. None of that.

Anyway anYwAy aNYWAY. They were moving on, and Kaiser was listening, more or less. Actually, it was more, but he wore an expression like he was only vaguely paying attention. Unintentional? Totally on purpose? A mystery it would remain.

In any case, this wouldn't be a very difficult task for him, with his single listed item. Kaiser only wondered quite how well he would manage the building part; he knew he was good at breaking and entering, but would he have any sort of aptitude for putting furniture together? He supposed he'd find out. Not today, though.

Once Schmoe had told them to get started, Kaiser idly flipped through the catalogue he had been given. It was a good few minutes before it really occurred to him that he was just turning pages aimlessly, and even then... he just kept rifling through. Tired brain did not want to do things.

But it had to. Kaiser had to. So, once he reached the end of the catalogue, he flipped back to the front again and started the activity properly. Within moments, he was at the bed section.

What was it Schmoe had said? A lot of things, yes, but about the furniture in particular? He needed to consider material descriptions (which didn't matter), size (which didn't really matter), and price (which sort of mattered, he supposed). After a few minutes scanning through the bed section, he circled the cheapest one he could find, because if he decided to buy a bed instead of just procuring an abandoned mattress or - more likely - just sleeping directly on the floor, he would probably go for the cheapest. The bed didn't look like it would be too hard to build either - not that Kaiser had any basis for such a deduction - so at least there was that.

... Well, it looked like he was done. So now he could rest? Great. Kaiser leaned back and stretched his arms out in front of him, then above him, then behind him, before leaning one elbow on his chair-desk and gazing off into the middle distance, effectively dozing with his eyes open. It had been a long couple of days, and still they insisted on going on and on and on without pause...
