His father wasn’t listening to that ear right now though so Cole decided to take a long breather from family shopping instead of arguing and thus he headed for one of his favourite shops in the alley; quality quidditch supplies. His father had given him some pocket money to spend, but sadly not on a new broom. How long was he supposed to ride on his grandfather’s ancient broom?

Pushing those thoughts aside the blond and blue-eyed thirteen going on fourteen year old turned the door handle and stepped into the shop. Knowing the shop quite well Cole made his way quickly between the shelves over to the memorabilia section to look at the team posters. He wanted a new tornados poster. Reaching up on his tip toes to get the poster Cole didn’t see that he at the same time knocked into the bag of marbles on one of the lower shelves. As Cole stepped back with the poster in hand happily he watched with fascination and confusion how marbles started to fall down noisily from the shelf above him and scatter all over the floor around him.. Oops! Had he caused that? Had the shopkeeper heard?

Her niece enjoyed history, and loved Quidditch, so surely she would love the two combined?

It was then that she spotted a book on the counter. It didn't look like it had anything to do with Quidditch, and her eyes passed over the cover and then darted back. It was a book about washing? But it wasn't just that it was an item her eyes moved over, it seemed to glow. As if entranced she moved closer to the book, and flipped the cover open. "Is this a new broom cleaning book?" she asked, as she flipped through the pages and saw photos of moving brooms - though she realised they weren't Qudditch brooms. Absentmindedly she ran her finger across the counter and then looked. She felt unusually relieved that not a speck of dust was there.

She hadn't even seen the young man enter the shop, nor what had happened. Marbles just seemed to go everywhere. Lou turned around at the sight and saw the young man standing there with a poster. She looked to see where such things had been kept, and where the marbles were. "Oh dear," she said. Usually she would have left the young man to pick the marbles up, but her hands just reached out before she knew what she was doing. The marbles were being scooped up by the copper-haired lady, ping-ping-pinging into the container.

A history book.. hmm. "Ah, we do have Quidditch Through the Ages for history and examples on them." Brad first suggested before seeing her eyes move towards the open book. Hm. He thought he put it back on the shelf? Silly him, he remembered setting it down to take care of cleaning around the shop. Now it appeared she seemed to have taken an interest as well in the book though moving right over to flip through the pages. That's when the faint jingle rang again as another customer came in. "Ah, one moment, ma'am." He would readdress her soon.

It was a young lad. Ah, Brad supposed he could re-dust the shelves by the posters the young man was eyeing. Then if he needed some help, he could help right away. Just as he was dusting, that's when he heard the sounds of marbles falling. It was like nails on a chalkboard. The sound, it was so loud. Brad's head turned to the noise. "Oh no!" Not the marbles, the floor! It was spotlessly clean and now there were marbles everywhere! Stay calm, Brad told himself. It was an accident. An unfortunate one. That floor would need to be repolished again later. Not wasting any time, he went over to pick them up... but the lady was quicker. "Ah.. thank you ma'am.. you know if you'd like you can take that book you were reading earlier. It's on the house." And not exactly in his catalog, though it was quite useful to him and surely her as well.

Goodness, lost marbles were another thing on his mind now before he could gather the situation again. The young man was trying to get a poster. "Ahem.. So that's the poster you would like?" Did he need something else? Perhaps a nice bag for his marbles incase they fell again.
