Post Happy birthday, J.K. Rowling!

Wednesday, July 31st not only marks the 39th birthday of Harry Potter, but also the 54th birthday of author J.K. Rowling!

Jo has filled our lives with magic ever since releasing the first Harry Potter novel, back in 1997. Since then she's penned the seven novels, in addition to the various companion books including Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Quidditch Through the Ages, and most recently, The Tales of Beedle the Bard.

Jo continued the next step in the Harry Potter legacy: Pottermore, an online experience for fans through Hogwarts and the Wizarding World. The author's first foray into the screenwriting world, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them released years ago, as did the sequel, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. Rowling also had a major hand in the eighth Harry Potter story, the Cursed Child, out now.

Her first non-Harry Potter book, The Casual Vacancy, was released in 2012. Jo, under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith, released her second adult novel, The Cuckoo's Calling, its sequel The Silkworm, and the third installment of the Strike series, Career of Evil. Lethal White, the fourth installment, will be out this fall.

Harry Potter actress Emma Watson took to Twitter to commemorate the occasion.

Please join SnitchSeeker in wishing the creator of Harry Potter a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday, Jo!
