She also made a point to keep away from the offices of her Professors, for many reasons, but the ultimate one being that the less time she spent around them, the less questions they could ask.

Then why was she willingly seeking out her Professor today? For several reasons that she perhaps didn’t quite understand. Because her participation grades were all slipping, because she was receiving failing grades in several classes on purpose, because she was entirely overwhelmed with sadness and had no one else to go to? Professor Beryl had said her door was always open and in a moment of fuzzy judgement, Nina found herself taking the offer.

She managed to keep her composure as she made her way inside. This hadn’t been her first time to the Hospital Wing, of course. She had been escorted here with Eiji and Trinetta after the incident in the boathouse, but she had come for Healer Beryl that time. Nina was here for Professor Beryl this time. Or maybe... Responsible Adult and Understanding Individual Beryl? She timidly approached the office door, noting it was open but unsure as to whether she ought to pop her head in. Instead, she opted to knock (again, timidly) on the wall beside the open door.

Perhaps this was a bad idea? Maybe she ought to turn back around?
Valetudo, the Raven, made a croaky sound in response to the knocking and Carmine crossed over from where she had been standing and giving Valetudo attention with scritches and came into view in the doorway.

"Nina, come in. Don't mind Valetudo, he's cranky not being able to go fly around outside."

ooc: if you wanna continue on this TL we can but the school will close soon with the evacuation, so we could do a St Mungos thread or something if we run out of time.

Happenings. Gnarly happenings.

...But standing here now, he wasn't so sure about telling her. Maybe...there was another way? A way to be helpful without making himself look extremely unstable. "...Would you mind if I stick around and help out?" If the Hospital wing got slammed, he be there to help. If not, then... Well, then he didn't know what.
Of course she didn't mind. In fact she appreciated the help and beyond that she rather thought it might be a good distraction for the young man. He did seem the type who would rather feel useful than helpless after all, so if she could help him feel helpful then she was technically doing her job too.

She set him to double checking the potions inventory and giving out a small dose of calming potions to any students who happened to be in need after encounters with the mist, and invited him to come back and assist in the afternoons at any time he felt the need to help. As plans were set in motion over the next several weeks, she had any student helpers carefully packing up the medicinal stores as they would need to be removed from the castle in the pending evacuation.

ooc: sorry for the delay, I've added a bit of time passing on so that if you want to reply again, you can have Aaron be here with last minute helping with packing things up for the evacuation. Healer Beryl would happily entrust an expanded bag to him with healing potions inside to take through the tunnel. Feel free to take on that headcanon or not as you prefer! <3

That emergency diabetes supply bag that she had given the healer? Now seemed like exactly the time that it might be needed. Her insulin pump had two days of insulin left inside it at best and that was assuming her infusion set didn’t get ripped out by accident. Cordelia had her medical identification bracelet on as always, and she had the supplies that she always carried on her but there just hadn’t been time for her to get more supplies from her dorm other than a couple insulin vials in a cooling pouch. The house elves would be bringing those ASAP, right? Hopefully the healer/professor was around and hadn’t evacuated already. Running into the hospital wing all dramatically, Cordelia forcefully knocked on the office door and shouted, ”Healer Beryl, are you here? It’s me, Cordelia! Evacuation and all that so I’ll be needing that emergency bag with my name on it.” Getting her emergency supplies and sticking close to the healer was probably her best bet here as long as they made it to the evacuation site in time.
Carmine had everything packed and moving already, a lot of the supplies had been removed to Hogsmeade already. Of course she was still around - it was her job after all, though the children who had been in the Hospital wing had already been moved out of the school.

"No need to yell, dear." Carmine said with utmost calmness, presenting the young girl with her bag. It had been in the office with her, and had the girl not come for it she simply would have got it given to her in Hogsmeade. "Time to head to the passage way, as you were instructed to do." She added calmly. Not that she was telling her off, precisely, but the instructions had been clear. "Come now, with Valetudo and I."

The raven on her shoulder peered down at the girl and then croaked at her curiously. It was time to go.

ooc: Please post at the third floor corridor for evacuation if you haven't already. Beryl will be right behind her.
