Identifying solutions was not a difficult task. In fact, Nina was sure she could have been among the first to complete the activity had she really put in the effort of doing so. Though she wasn't in any rush to finish. Surely Professor Noble wouldn't have expected it of her either. She made a point to lag behind in these lessons. It also helped that she had chosen her spot next to the Slytherin Prefect. He was a good chosen distraction, and Nina made sure to pay plenty of attention to him. She watched the way he worked, slightly irritated by the way he chose to go about solving the mystery. He was quite peculiar and his methodology was slow. Slow and painful to watch. But Nina watched anyway.

After some time had passed, Nina turned her attention back to her own work. Choosing to work incredibly slowly, wearing a look of confusion on her face. It was a well rehearsed look, one that she had learned to perfect over time. It was the same look she wore when Hudson helped her with Arithmancy. Her 'I don't get it' voice was even better, but she wouldn't be speaking in class.
Instead she quietly carried forward, hearing Professor Noble introducing the next activity while she still carried forward with the previous task. She had figured out the contents of cauldron 1 just as quickly as she had recognized the solution within cauldron 4, though she waited some time before scribbling down the answer on her parchment. The longer she stretched the activity out the better. It was proving a point. She even swapped her answers out, labeling cauldron 3 and 2 incorrectly. On purpose, of course. Though this was also information she'd choose not to divulge.
