Daisy headed back to the cauldrons and gathered the remaining samples, before heading back to her work area.

She used the wooden stirrer that she had used for the adhesive in the fourth cauldron and applied some of the substance to a piece of scrap parchment before carefully placing another piece of parchment on top at a slightly askew angle. Daisy was able to straighten the top layer of parchment and so she set that to one side.

Next, Daisy grabbed the cup containing the first cauldron's contents which she noticed was white in colour and quite thick in consistency. She used the wooden stirrer in that cup to apply a reasonable amount to the surface of a large piece of scrap parchment. Daisy carefully moved it next to the previous "experiment" and continued on.

Finally, Daisy inspected the clear and thick substance that she had gathered from the second cauldron. She applied some on a large piece of parchment and placed another piece of parchment of the same size on top.

She then went back to note her findings.
