Seriously why was no one playing with him? Did no one like jump basketball? Elias was feeling pretty icky that maybe people just didn't want to play, but that wasn't going to stop him from having fun. When you were a twin and the youngest of so many in the family you got used to being overlooked and taking that time to make the best of something.
So turning back to the hoop he started to jump and jump to get higher and higher. He wanted to get some dunking in. Moving closer and closer to the hoop he jumped as high as he could and lifted the basketball, hands just at the bottom of the hoop he let go of the ball and watched it just make it. It wasn't a dunk, but he was going to pretend it was.
