The number of people in the room was growing rapidly. The noise level, obviously, grew along with it, and it was starting to give Regina a little bit of a headache. Merlin. Maybe she should've stayed home. This wasn't really mandatory, was it? Maybe...

She hadn't really kept up with Ministry news in the past - she couldn't even remember the last time she'd read a Daily Prophet article - so she had no opinions one way or the other in that regard.

But still. The Minister for Magic. Such an intimidating title, even though he was obviously very friendly.

"Oh- I- um... Thank you, sir... Minister. Sir." Yeah, not the most eloquent of responses. Erm...

Maybe she should just...go...somewhere else, where she'd be less seen and had less of a chance to embarrass herself.

Ah look, there was another woman (Olly) having a grey shirt on her hand. She seemed still busy talking to her colleagues and Shang Wu wouldn't bother them in the middle of conversation. It was rude, and being rude wasn't in his dictionary. Instead, the new HR officer just waited for a right moment. For the Record, he's not that good in bowling even though he's a muggleborn and worked in muggle environment. He was just this basic yappie* who preferred golf and tennis.

yappie: Young Asian Professionals yes, it's the Asian version of yuppie.
Going somewhere else led her over to getting a pretzel and a small butterbeer. Maybe a little bit of food would help settle her nerves and the mild headache.

Standing to the side and nibbling quietly on the pretzel, she watched people picking their teams and...not very many were picking the grey ones. Only a few others that she noticed so far had picked them up - a man (Shang Wu) who was also standing around quietly and two other women (Olly & Kat) who were talking with some people. There might've been more that she hadn't noticed, since there were a lot of people here now. Hopefully there were more.

Or, if not, hopefully they were all so good at bowling they didn't even need a lot of people. Not that Regina expected to win, but...it'd be pretty nice, right?

Maybe she should...try talking again. It felt like the pretzel was helping a little bit, or maybe it was her imagination. Either way, she took a deep breath and walked over to the man since he was the only other one who was alone.

"So...are you good at bowling?" she asked.
