Neither of those two lights seemed to be getting any closer, but there was a sound coming from behind him. It was odd, the rattle of wood on wood, the shuffle of thick paper, not sounds that belonged outdoors at all. The scent of ink was sour in his nose, and Cornish found himself turning his head to try to breathe the crisp winter air. His stomach was heaving.
And then the points of light converged in front of him, and there was a great ruckus. So that was the two lights accounted for. "Selwyn? Calrissian? Grand. Come to my voice, and we'll head up to the castle. One of you is likely to wander into the lake at this rate." Or something worse. He shoved through the fog in their direction.
