Jade had decided to take up Ancient Runes this term, now that she was a SECOND YEAR and a whole lot older and wiser. Her dad was really pleased with her decision, since he was a curse breaker at Gringotts and loved everything to do with runes. And so the twelve-year-old skipped into the Ancient Runes classroom for her very first lesson...
... and saw her classmates taking turns trying on an old boot. Okay.
It didn't take her long to figure out what this was about. So this shoe was charmed like the Sorting Hat? and it told you what your temperament was?? That was some amazing magic. Even though the thought of putting on a shoe that a dozen other people had already worn was disgusting, she was still willing to try it and see what her result would be. When it was her turn, she stepped up, took off her own shoe and put on the old sorting boot, which shrunk a little bit to fit her small foot. Imitating the students before her, she hopped around a few times (she was in a good mood, after all) and heard the boot say, "The Commander, ENTJ-A!"
The Commander, she liked it. "Good morning, Professor Beryl!" Jade said to the new teacher as she put on her own shoe and went to take a seat. She then took out her equipment, arranged it neatly on her desk and wrote her MBTI result on top of her parchment in large letters so that everyone in the class could see that she was a Commander.
