It didn't help matter that that despite being officially 13 (Happy Birthday, Maxie!), he was very much a second year and the majority of his year were still quite small indeed.

Hunger had driven him out of his compartment (he had forgotten the lunch Damien had brought him), but he was beginning to think food wouldn't be worth it. There was a line, a proper one with many kids he recognized (... like the very curly-haired girl from the world cup) and knew to be the talking types.

Maxie hunched in behind an older Ravenclaw boy - slinkhard, trying to appear as inconspicuous as possible. was it working? not at all.
Lines and queues made Drewett rather uneasy. A lot of factors contributed to this, and the most glaring one would be trying to find a way to keep himself busy while he waited for his turn. It wasn't that long of a line compared to what one would expect from a sale at a mall, which he was grateful about so he could head back to his compartment. However, it always felt long to him no matter how short his time spent on waiting was.

And that sometimes sucked because when Drewett didn't know what to do, he usually became very conscious of his surroundings. So when a taller, definitely older, kid stood in line after him, he was starting to feel very sandwiched. As if walls were closing in on him. His senses were being too active lately.

Hang on. That wasn't... an older student. If anything, Drewett never forgot a name that he would associate with a face. And the student behind him was definitely someone from a lower year, he was positive. Kowalski...or the Hufflepuff chaser with a longer surname. Whichever. The Ravenclaw took a peek behind him to be sure (it would have bothered him the entire train ride if he didn't) and he found himself....looking up....at the younger boy.

......Merlin's beard, imagine the growing pains for this one. Drewett quickly smiled at the boy so he didn't seem awkward. Except that was exactly what a Drewett P. Slinkhard was: awkward.
