He did need to mingle and scout around. More importantly, however, was that he didn't want to have to explain why he had a littler of rodent-like creatures roaming about his room should someone happen to walk in out of the blue.

"See you around," he added as a quick afterthought before darting up the stairs to Room 2-2.

His paperwork was in her hand, headed towards the file, as she watched him head off. "Sounds like a plan. If I'm not at the counter to take your order, be sure to let them know your room number so we can give you a discount."

She watched him only for a moment as he walked off towards the stairs. Soon, the next customer approached the counter and she was focused on their transaction.
