Slowly but surely, the puffball he had been after decided to come out of hiding. In all honesty, he was a bit surprised to watch it poof into his hand, rather than crawl onto it like any other tiny animal would. But, then again, these weren't your ordinary creatures. These were ... well, Flamel hadn't the faintest idea. He certainly hadn't seen or read about anything like this before.
Now that the furry beast was on his hand, putting on that adorable face and clearly wanting some attention, the professor gave the thing a gentle scratch on the head with his finger. It was all part of the distraction.
He then gave his wand a jab while the incantation Incarcolvo ran through his head. Within moments, a mesh-like net erupted from the tip of his wand and then encapsulated the mutant. "Sorry, little guy," he murmured as he set the netted creature on the ground, watching as the net stiffened into a proper cage.
Was that all of them? Could they move on?
