~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. Professor Stewart.
No matter how many times Kay tried to convince him to call her Kay or at least Kaysha, it never did work. He always insisted on calling her Professor. The habit had been adopted by her too but now he was no longer a Professor. This suited her just fine; she would simply call him by his first name. Now she was back to thinking of what a mess she was, completely missing the tone of his voice.
Oh, how she had missed him. Foster had been a pillar for her during the term she had been fired. Kaysha wished, not for the last time, that he hadn’t chosen to leave Hogwarts but he seemed to be happy about joining the Ministry and that was all she wanted him to be- to be happy. A slow, radiant beam crossed her features. “Emmalyn! Of course she did.’’ She knew all about the correspondence between Foster and the girl as she’d been the one to encourage Emmalyn to talk to Foster during that term. It was nice that they continued afterwards. “She wasn’t wrong and I must say it’s a pleasant surprise to see you here.’’ Kay’s blue eyes seemed to shine with happiness. “Come on.’’ She moved aside to let him pass by. “I have no doubt you are but you’re my guest. You’ll have some freshly baked cookies and...? Eggnog? Hot chocolate?’’ |
