Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite

It was official and counting a million more times wouldn't change anything. There were three clubs missing and it would drive the man wild for the entirety of the lesson--until one of the students inevitably distracted him with some questionable response.

You never really knew with them these days.

Worst day of her life, truly.

The Gryffindor made her way into the dueling arena, absolutely NOTshocked by the unusual set-up of the room. She had been desensitized. Only took six and a half terms to do it. Walking past the Headmaster and taking notice of the clubs on the table, the Gryffindor almost sighed. "No dragons today, I reckon," her days here were numbered and the chances of learning about dragons were now slim to none. But the meme must live on, yeah?

Spinnet?

The man was so caught up in this last round of counting that he didn't notice at first but when he did, it required a double take to confirm that Zoryn Spinnet had been the first to walk into the dueling arena. Was she sick? Early because another portrait went up and she wanted to complain?

His hands slipped casually into his pockets as he took in her disappointed expression. Dragons. Every lesson? Did they really have to go through this every lesson?

Let no one ever say the young woman wasn't dedicated. "As I've mentioned countless other times, dragons aren't 'til April." And his answer wouldn't change no matter how many times she asked.

"Good morning, Headmaster." Daisy greeted with a smile and polite nod of her head.

She had read the necessary text but with the way her mind was at the present moment, she was nervous about how she was going to go in this lesson.

"Good morning, Swann." He allowed his attention to drift from the Gryffindor to the second student to enter the room. The former Hufflepuff Prefect. He gave her an extra little look, as if his naked eyes would be able to see anything beyond the surface.

"I trust the visit to the Healer has gotten you on the right track." But he wouldn't say more. Despite Spinnet being the only other one around at the moment, this seemed like a private matter and he wouldn't change the nature of that.

Er....."You...alright Parker....?" Was it just him or did every lesson start with at least one student sprinting from fear of being late? Time management...watches...both were invaluable things to possess.

"Take a minute, there's still time before we begin and I need your lungs in fine, working order by then." There would be quite a ...hands on activity today.

SPOILER!!: Dorian

He had went to bed late in the night for he had been reading his Transfiguration textbook. He wanted ace those OWL exams and was already studying. The downside was that he was a bit less focused during the day.

Standing in front of the doorway, Dorian jogged on the spot for a couple of seconds to wake up more before he entered after Kaira who seemed to be in a rush. Heh, first years.

"Good day, Headmaster" he greeted politely while trying his best to show that he wasn't tired. "Sup, everyone" he greeted the few others already present in the room as well.

Ah the diligent Ravenclaw. Malachi admired the work ethic on this one and the way he took the lessons seriously. His conduct wasn't anything to scoff at either. Definitely one to look out for. "Good day to you too, Katharos."

The Headmaster leaned against the table, his back to the clubs for now. Looking at them would only remind him of the missing ones and with students beginning to arrive, he really did need to get focused.

"Hello Headmaster," she greeted the man, in a cheery tone. Yes, this Ravenclaw was excited to get to the lesson.

Oh, a chipper one. Those weren't exactly the norm around here. The man could never understand the root of many of their dislike for the subject. It could be worse, it could be far worse. The cheerful tone got a smile out of the man. "Morning Newton. Do you show up to all your lessons in such a spritely mood?" He teased lightly, meaning no offense of course.

He also wouldn't have hated if she said it was JUST Defense Against the Dark Arts but really it was all the same to him.

Still, it made things easier when the students were looking forward to the lesson.

Aaand then he was there. Made it!! "Good morning, Headmaster! Er..." he paused, remembering what he had needed to bring up to the man. "The books in the study room all seem to be missing Sir, and there seem to be some pranks going around... like the Prefect bathroom... but I'm not sure who could be doing it..." Was it okay to tell him now since class hadn't started yet?? Jackson hoped so. He wished he could collect fingerprints and stuff like they did on those detective type shows, but they hadn't learned fingerprinting at Hogwarts yet.

And another one that seemed to be in a hurry to get here. Was it the sudden change of location? Was that what was throwing them off? Perhaps he'd give sooner notice next time......nahhhhhhh. To borrow the ideology of apparently the last few Defense Professors, constant vigilance. They should always be showing up early enough to avoid disasters.

The smile Newton had managed to bring to the man's agitated state, quickly faded at the Prefect's words. "Circe sake, now they're taking books too? Did you happen to get a count of how many might be missing? Any witnesses?"

Did he really want to be dealing with this before the start of the lesson? Nope.

"Pretty...interesting, I'll say that much, Mitsue." With the additional knowledge of the missing books, the Headmaster was all the more put off than he'd been to find some of his clubs missing. What was happening around this place?? "But good morning all the same."

SPOILER!!: Vita

The clubs were an interesting sight to see and the sixth year eyed them curiously before her gaze shifted towards the man in charge. "Hello Headmaster." She kept it short and sweet, noting he didn't look like he was in the best of moods, and moved to take her place by the others in the room.

"Good morning, Mallari." The man replied, admittedly now half distracted with questions on how long the books had been missing from study hall and if there might have been anything else missing.

"You wouldn't happen to be missing anything, would you?"

If things were going missing, he was gonna need to start keeping a list. Sure would be helpful if any of these kids actually saw anything.

With a heavy sigh and a rub to his shoulder that would not stop itching he ran down the halls to the dueling room. He was on time, for him that meant late. He skirted around the corner feeling like a cartoon character.

Just as he came to a stop he saw that there were others in the room. He stopped just outside of the door looking at his watch. He had quite a few minutes to spare before he absolutely needed to be in there. He gave himself a few seconds to catch his breath before he moved through the door.

He moved further into the room, "uh, goood morning Headmaster? It's still morning I guess." he stated more for his own thoughts than for the Headmaster. He really wanted today to be a good morning he did not need today's class to be bad.

"It is still morning, yes. Good morning, Dooley." He wasn't sure what might have momentarily caused the boy to second guess such a fact but as he was now busy duplicating a few clubs to make up for the lost ones, he didn't give it much thought.

"Take more of those breaths if you need. We're in for a hectic class."

He was gonna love that.

"Good morning, Headmaster Trent," Abra greeted the headmaster almost automatically, it was so ingrained in him to do so. But he couldn't help on picking up on some agitated vibes from the man, which naturally made his own anxiety spike just a little bit, but he still managed a slightly strained, though still friendly smile before he found a space and waited for the lesson to begin.

"Good morning, Botros." Malachi greeted, setting down the last of the three clubs he'd duplicated. Now that there were technically no more missing, he was slightly less agitated. It could've been a full recovery were it not for the Ravenclaw Prefect informing him of more missing things around the castle.

"Good to see you aren't missing. Gotta be careful. Everything and its grandmother seems to be going missing these days." There was a pause as he re-called a report about the Gryffindor Common Room.

"Shot in the dark here, but did you lot ever find that sofa?" In an old classroom, out by the lake? Typical prank locations.

If anything, she was simply curious what they needed the extra space for, when it was obvious the limitations of the classrooms weren’t immune to charms being placed to provide whatever was needed. Or maybe the events of the term so far were exactly why they needed something besides charms and spells to enlarge the classroom. It was worth the thought, anyway.

“Good morning, Headmaster Trent,” she greeted, giving the headmaster a smile that gradually grew a bit concerned at his expression. “Has something else disappeared?” Aside from the couch in the Gryffindor common room, the portrait entrance to the kitchens and all sorts of others she knew about by now. The question of if it was going to affect lessons was important too.

Ah the other Gryffindor Prefect. Maybe she could answer his question on the missing Gryffindor sofa. Not gonna lie, he'd harboured the thought that these missing things may have just been a bit of pranking by some rowdy Gryffindors until he heard they'd lost their sofa. Whoever was doing this was an equal opportunity prankster....which was problematic to say the least.

"Good morning, Dalgaard-Volkova. Keeping track of all your belongings I hope."

The dueling arena.

Though speaking of Hogwarts --- what was going on and where did these mutants come from?

Part of him thought that he shouldn't question it anymore. He had attended the school for five years at the point so honestly nothing should have probably surprised him. Just when he thought he was going to have a normal year, BAM something happened and his plan was derailed.

Fortunately the Dueling Arena was still here. Phew. No need to sound the alarms. Everything was in order....maybe? He entered the arena and greeted his Headmaster very politely. He still found it odd not seeing Scrimmy glaring at you as you entered the room. Scrim the Grim. Merlin. He should have kept a list with all those nicknames that he came up with for him. "Good morning, Headmaster," he greeted with a curt nod.

"Morning Spenley." He replied. Another Gryffindor. How ironic that the moment he asked about their missing sofa, a ton of them began pouring in. Good thing Malachi was a firm believer in consequences. Sometimes things just HAPPENED and there was no explanation. All the missing things were definitely not a coincidence and he wouldn't begin treating them as such but y'know, shower of Gryffindors was definitely up there on the list of coincidences.

"Good morning to you, sir. I hope you're well today." And yes, she was ready with her homework spells.

"Good morning to you, too, Kettleburn." The man said, turning to the female head honcho. His look was one of concern because it seemed every time he saw her there was something making her itch and that made HIM itch. Weird how that worked. "I hope you're well today. How's that skin of yours treating you? Gonna need any soothing potions before we begin?" He could have a patronus sent up to the Hospital Wing. Once these kids had the clubs, he didn't need any wild swings being taken from sudden itch spasms.

SPOILER!!: Valencia

Having read the notice, she knew that class wasn't taking place in the normal location. So, she headed straight there.

"Hello Professor." she greeted as she made her way in.

The fact this one wore her robes didn't sway him in either direction. He'd said they wouldn't be needed because of the nature of the activity but it was an easy fix once they began. "Morning Phillips. Keeping everything on you so it doesn't go missing with half the castle?" And the tiniest crack of an amused smile.

The robe really wasn't needed.

Malachi glanced down at his watch, double checking it against the clock that hung above the door to the dueling arena. Yep, it was time to get started. With a flick of his wand, the door slammed shut with a click as it did every class when they were ready to begin. Like always, anyone who was late would have the hardest time getting in but by now most had learned that it was better to be on time.

"Let me start by saying I hope you all read the chapter I gave for homework and spent some quality time practising the spell. If you haven't, I hope you've got natural talent and an impeccable ability to run and hide and generally not get yourself maimed. I'll accept either." But REALLY he was hoping it was the first option. The second was very sketchy and didn't always offer up a guarantee.

The man liked guarantees when it came to the lives of the students he was set in charge of.

"Everyone, come up to the table and get yourself a club. While you're doing that, I'd like everyone to give me one scenario in which you would every need to use this muggle instrument. Doesn't necessarily have to be a need per say. You can also give me a scenario in which it could come in handy or could otherwise be convenient. Any reason at all to ever use a club."

The man stepped away from the table, giving them enough room to come grab the club of their choice. Even the three duplicated ones would be fine. They'd last well into the lesson and much longer than they were needed.

OOC: First question's up and class has officially started! If you post your character arriving after this point, it'll be very difficult for them to get through the door. Of course, you can always RP as if they've been here the entire time! I'll be back to move the lesson again in about 24 - 28 hrs from the point of this post. <3
