He could see it. He could see her cracks and he wasn't sorry for it. Not at all. Perhaps it even made him a little bit bolder since he was taking some steps closer to you. Zoryn was exhausting, especially if you didn't know what you were looking at. But to the observant person, to those who really looked past her showboat Gryffindor exterior...you could peel away the layers and see the vulnerable person beneath. You just had to, you know, peel a LOT. Sometimes it helped if you had a tool or ten. But all Derf was equipped with right now was himself and time.

And then he stood there, arms at either side. "So...if you need to take a swing at me or something to let go of your frustrations. Then do it. I don't reckon that's the right way to let out what you're feeling but it's gotta go somewhere." Better that than her acting out and bringing more negative attention to herself. So he thought in the moment at least. "And then..." he continues, swallowing somewhat thickly. "...once you're let off some steam...we need to talk...and sort through this...please...cause...I miss you, you know?"
