Maxton glared daggers at the other boy, but his demeanour completely changed when he turned his focus onto the house elf. He liked the house elves. So much in fact, that despite their protests, he was often helping them out in the Common Room with their cleaning duties. He was pretty handy with a cleaning charm.
They made great food, it was the least he could do really.
"Don't listen to him, Nimma," he said with another roll of his eyes. "Everything's fine here. Just looking for something, that's all. If I leave any fingerprints, promise I'll get rid of 'em."
See? He was a good guy really.
