Flamsteed's response had Ronan's brow raising further and the other threatening to join it. Not only had said response come off as slightly flippant, but there were several concerning things it revealed, not the least being that apparently trouble was seemingly a constant with Mr. Gerulf. But, something else was hit on that was more important in the moment. "Encephalons...those are the brains with tentacles, correct? The ones that attacked Ronald Weasley way back in 1995-96? Made him act sort of goofy?" See where he was going with this? "Why were Mr. Gerulf and Baines doing research on the Encephalon solution? Did anything unusual happen during the fetching of said solution? Did the encephalons attack anyone?" Had they found the cause of all this mess?
