It was a relief when their augurey showed an interest in the food left for it and moved closer, and Chloe dropped a few more bugs onto the ground to continue to convince the bird that they were friendly purveyors of good things and not dangerous or scary.

Jackson had her attention as well, but she didn't look away from the bird. No sudden movements, no lack of concentration, y'know? "I like creatures. They make more sense then people do. Now, I think that once it takes those on the ground, offer more in your open hand. Be still and maybe say soft, kind words to it. Creatures know intent."
