Yes, it was the first day back at it. Or for her, the first day of her new job, her new, BIG promotion as the Senior Undersecretary. It was still feeling unreal and very much like a strange, distant dream, but January was very excited. She had already set up her office during the last part of the holiday break and it was starting to feel like home. Like her OWN little perfect office.
Jumping a little at the booming sound of the Minister's voice, January carefully set down the vase she was repositioning for the fourth time. She turned around to see the Minister enter her office and she put on a somewhat genuine smile. "Mr. Nickles, good morning."
