It wasnt long before the Curly Top felt someone enter the compartment, and as he lifted his palms over his eyes he was slightly surprised at seeing Flynn, but the next split second his gaze caught the glint from his Prefect badge "Congratulations Flynn!" he meant that genuinely, and offered a handshake. Did he realize that he too technically has a new badge? Lets just see the Slytherin's powers of observations eh hehe...

The other Slytherin Prefect soon followed "Thanks Vivian!" he replied happily at her greeting, although her reaction to Flynn... well it was then when total recall started flooding in, on the events of last term, on everything he's been hearing on idle chatter. Well... Slytherins like drama innit? Dungeons be just peachin this term.

Speaking of peaches, his gaze lit up like it was Christmas at the next arrival "Heyyy..." he smiled at their amazingly fantastic new Prefect that he was lucky enough to call his girlfriend. The blonde Hufflepuff entered next to which Ace smiled and offered a hand "Congratulations Derf!" He had hoped that any unsurety that used to bother the boy in his youth was long gone. And he hoped, if Hogwarts deemed Derf ready for the badge, then he was darn good and ready. To which Ace will come to expect.

"Hey Skylar congratulations!" he smiled brightly. Buuut whoah one look at the new Prefect she just went for the figurative jugular "Uh yeah Flynn is your new Slytherin Prefect. He took over from Oliver. Two brooms? Are they gifts? I LOVE GIFTS!" Grabby hands. Distraction distraction lets not have a Slytherin meltdown and they're not even anywhere near Hogwarts yet ok? Ok.

This next arrival Ace was particularly curious about, given that this was gonna be Kitty's successor in Ravenclaw. And wow its gonna be a hoot when he tells his old friend who's wearing it now "Congratulations Jessa!" Cerebral as she may be, she still should have a heartwarming welcome as best a Gryffindor could muster. "Yes we will get to our agenda in a bit-- "

And there be Ravenclaw Renaissance man. The mirth of the news when Mel broke it to him "Congratulations Captain Kirk!" Gosh he was waiting to blurt that out loud to his face all summer. "Great summer! As I bet you have." he grinned.

There were a few more stragglers that still has to make an appearance, and goodness knows theres a Green and Silver powder keg that needs to be kept from exploding, so the Head Boy reached out for his satchel and brought out a couple of large boxes "Ok so while we're waiting for the rest of the other Student Leaders to make their way here, have a little something-- Freshly baked straight for the Salander kitchen!" he beamed as he passed the boxes around .
