The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced today that seven films including Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban are being considered for a makeup Oscar. The six other films in the category are: The Aviator, De-Lovely, **** Boy, Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, The Passion of the Christ and The Sea Inside.

The committee will view clips of all the films and then select as many as three of them for the Oscar. All Oscar nominees will be announced on January 25 – stay tuned. The Oscar broadcast will air on ABC on Sunday, February 27.
