"Aslan Evans, at first glance, is seen to be an abrasive young woman, with her fondness for words as subtle as a sledgehammer and refusal to beat around the bush when it comes to what she wants. She is ambitious, and calculative – she knows almost exactly what it is she wants and has at the very least a rough idea of how to get there. She does not do well at improvisation, but has been known to take a few large risks. These risks often defining the rest of her life, but really, aren’t those the only risks worth taking?
She is curious and disciplined, having documented at least 75% of Hogwarts’ student body and their responses towards love, relationships, friendships, substance abuse and the like. She is intrigued by society, and yet somehow repulsed by it. It’s one of the things that makes Aslan, well, Aslan. Her cognitive dissonance on this subject and that of the true value of honesty and friendship is one of the things that is most fascinating about her. One is always on their toes, and it never goes well to assume one of her beliefs.
She is stubborn too, Merlin, not unlike all Gryffindors. Stubborn and cynical and scared of being hurt. I believe that is why she distances herself so much from people, from full inclusion in the society that fascinates her so. Her curiousity is only overpowered by her will to survive, and survival, for her, involves not being hurt.
In spite of all this, or maybe even because of it, she is committed to the people she does care for – the people who manage to penetrate through her walls. She is loyal and accepting and dependable and downright charming when she wants to be. She is good for intelligent conversation, with a quick wit and sharp tongue, but doesn’t go around giving it freely. No. One earns her company, although I am not certain of the criteria to do so.

Jacob Evans met Rose Walsh when the Englishwoman walked into his father's toy shop inquiring after "one of those bouncey muggle bunny-ish things." He gave her the pogo stick after declining her golden coins and insisted on giving her a piece of paper with ten digits.
A week later she came back, lamenting her inability to solve his "bloody riddle" and pleading for an answer. It was only a matter of time before the two fall disastrously in love with one another much to their separate distresses. Both would have to abandon their lives for the other, and both were far too glad to do so. They eloped, running off to the Isle of Skye while they figured out how to break the news to their families, meanwhile, Rose languished over whether or not to tell Jacob of the magical world and her part in it. Ultimately, she decided to keep it a secret until the right time presented itself...
With the birth of their first child being that time.
Aslan Rose Evans was supposed to have been a boy and only furthered her mother's beliefs that Muggle Healers were "a bunch of gimps." she was born a month too soon and was spoiled rotten by her maternal grandparents to the chagrin of her poorer, but no less loving paternal grandfather. Time flew by, and although the Evans' led a quiet life, it was a happy one with only the occasional bump in the road.
Her brother Adrastos being one such bump. A happy mistake, Adrastos came out of the womb a wizard. Accidental magic was now a living breathing concern in the Evans' abode and for Rose Walsh it was beginning to feel essential to tell her husband /what the hell/ was going on with his two kids. They went for a drive, and to out it simply, never came back.
Aslan & Adrastos were raised from then on by their paternal grandfather, a kind but gruff Romany man who tried to instill in them the Romany way of life and keep from them the magical world and the remaining family they had tied up with it.
It was only many years later, in Aslan's fourth year at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry that her brother realized the truth. After this there came an argument that split the small family in two. Unable to take the deception, as well as to shake the idea of the Walsh's from their minds, the siblings snuck off some time during Christmas Break, trading in London for Belfast in search of a family they had never known. To their surprise Miriam O'Leary Walsh welcomed them with open arms as did their many cousins, aunts and uncles. It was overwhelming, and strange but though Aslan remained untrusting, the Walsh's remained nothing but kind and courteous during their brief stay.
Things had been tense between Alistar and Aslan after that. An unsteady truce that grew warmer with time, and comfort.
