It had become a trend, it seemed, for Ravenclaws to be among the first to arrive for her lessons. Kay greeted young Jasper with a smile. “Good morning, Mr Quinn!“ She then watched him decide on a seat before turning to greet the next student.

Kay almost immediately sensed something was off with Miranda. The Hufflepuff would usually offer more of a greeting. “Ms Blaze! I hope you’re well.’’ She was always available if students needed her help or just someone to talk to. They all knew this by now.

Actually, Olivia was in the best spirits today. Not only was Muggle Studies totally magic-free... BUT IT WAS ALSO on the first floor. Near Potions, which she had after lunchtime. Less walking and moving about for her poor legs. Blast you, growing pains.
Not that any of these things stopped the Gryffindor from being any less fabulous... BECAUSE she was STILL totally fabulous. Proven by how she was now sauntering into the classroom, her bag strap hiked up on her shoulder. It was a great day, you know? What did she really have to complain about?
"Hai, Professor Stewart. Good morning!" Just casually bumping through. Don't mind us.
Also, hello Ravenclaw boy we don't know! Olivia casually took a seat next to him, tucking her curly blonde hair cutely over her shoulder. "Hello!"
Kay couldn’t help but smile warmly at Olivia. The girl’s eager spirit was rather pleasant. “Good morning to you too, Ms Phillips! I hope you enjoy the lesson.’’

There was no missing that energetic Tenacius. “Good morning, Mr Salander! I really hope you have a great time with this lesson!’’ Tenacius was one of those who she knew really enjoyed them. Just as she knew he would, the lion took a seat close to her laptop and projector. Kay laughed softly. Yes, Mr Salander. She would give you a chance to assist.

Her fingers still feeling like icicles from her work out on the grounds and in the greenhouses, dirt under her fingernails an indication of just what the Hufflepuff had been up to prior during her free period proceeding the lesson, Paige bowed her head towards Professor Stewart with a shy smile as she paused to warm her hands for a few minutes. “Good morning, Ms Skeeter!’’ Kay always liked the girl’s manners and she respected them a lot. She watched the seventh year take a moment to warm herself by the fire. The woman was glad she had decided to set the fire. As long as her students were comfortable, she was happy.

The subject was mildly fascinating though but perhaps that was because the Ravenclaw was interested in a lot of things in the first place? Entering the room, Mason looked at the ....what was it called again? Lapbob or something. On the Professor's desk before he turned his eyes to the woman herself. "Good morning" he said brightly. "Its nice and warm here, better than outside the classroom" he then turned and after a quick look around decided to sit next to Paige. SHE knew all about muggles right? Or not?
He hoped so... or else he didn't know who to murmur questions to when he did not get something. "Hey Paige, been at the greenhouses again?" he asked as he too set up his desk.
“Hello, good morning, Mr Winslow! I don’t want you to be turned into a popsicle.’’ Kay beamed, her blue eyes twinkling.

He was tired. Not like sleepy tired or too much food tired, more like...it felt like it'd been a long day and his brain was done processing things. It would be a miracle if he made it through this Muggle Studies class, despite it being his favourite subject. The temperature of the room wasn't helping much either. It was practically inviting him to sit back, relax and do absolutely nothing. The Gryffindor walked by the woman at the door to fully enter the room.
Blaise nudged Livvy as he walked by her, a greeting for his friend before he took his seat. By now, his quill stopped making explicit mention of the projector and laptop things. It was still poised over his shoulder waiting for something to happen.
He didn't bother to speculate what they might or might not have been learning today. Didn't matter. Bottom line was he wouldn't be required to use magic. That was all the reason he needed to attend.
Was it just her or did Blaise look somewhat out of it? It wasn’t that early in the day nor was it too late. It puzzled Kay because the lion did look tired. “Good morning, Mr Bellaire!’’ She offered him a cheerful smile. Hopefully he would be able to focus or she would be forced to excuse him from the lesson.

Kay glanced at her watch. It was almost time to begin; just under five minutes to be exact. Anyone who had found themselves later hopefully would get there soon. That thought occurred to her to her all too soon for another student arrived. “Hello, Ms McNally! Have your seat. We’ll be starting quite soon.’’

Kay beamed when she saw Katerina approaching, glad the girl had made it on time. “Hello to you too, Ms Delgado!’’ What was that? Did Kat have a present for her? The woman did love surprises! She would take a closer look soon.

The prefect obviously had the cold. “Hello, Prefect Darcy!’’ Kay could just understand Juno due to the congestion. “Please see Healer Joy for some of her Pepper Up potion. You’ll be better in no time.’’ Kay didn’t like it when any of her students were sick.
When the wait was over and it was time to begin the class, she shut the door. A pity those stragglers would not make it for this lesson. “Welcome to another Muggle Studies lesson, everyone! Today we’ll be focusing on a classic Muggle film. It can also be referred to as a musical because of the use of songs throughout it.’’ Kay paused to step in front of her desk. “Before I give any more clues, I’d like you all to take a look at the short clip I have for you.’’ She looked towards Tenacius.
“Mr Salander, if you could kindly hit the play button for me on the laptop? The video is already set up.’’ As was the projector. The windows of her classroom were closed and sufficiently dark enough for the students to be able to view the video.
“I’d like you to name the movie this scene is taken from if you have watched it before. Feel free to even take a guess.’’ OOC: Haaaai, guys! So, class has officially started so NO MORE charrie arrivals. You don’t have to wait on Steely to post. Just pretend as though Tenacius has started the video  I’ll be posting again in 24 hours! |
