Post Universal Japan to open Wizarding World of Harry Potter first-ever Christmas events

Universal Studios Japan announced that they will unveil the first ever Christmas-themed Wizarding World of Harry Potter, with massive Christmas tree in the middle of Hogsmeade village, set to take place from November 18, 2016 to January 9, 2017 in the city of Osaka.

In addition to the tree - which can be lit up with a bit of wand-specific magic - hot Butterbeer will be introduced to attraction (one only available in its warm version at Universal Orlando Resort), as well as a Christmas-themed dinner. More information on that can be read below.

A translation of the press release, thanks to staffer sweetpinkpixie, can be read here:
Universal Studios Japan’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter is pleased to announce that this winter for 59 days - from November 18, 2016 to January 9, 2017 - guests will be immersed in the first ever wizarding world Christmas experience. Guests will be taken even further into the world of the Harry Potter films with a Christmas experience like nothing seen in the ‘normal’ world, including a massive magically-enchanted Christmas tree.

The already wintry feeling of Hogsmeade will be intensified with more snow and hanging icicles that will truly shine this holiday season. This winter, thanks to the witches and wizards of Hogsmeade, a unique holiday ambiance has been created with the placement of holiday wreaths and hanging ornaments beginning from the entrance of the arch gate to the wizarding world.

Proceeding past the Christmas decorations gently illuminated by the lights of Hogsmeade, guests will be greeted by a dazzling Christmas reminiscent of a certain scene from the Harry Potter films. Furthermore, the wizarding world’s popular and special beverage - Butterbeer - will be served hot. There will also be a special winter menu to help guests experience Christmas in the wizarding world through all five senses.

The Christmas tree in the center of Hogsmeade offers the unique opportunity - to those in possession of a “magical wand” - to light up the tree with magic just like a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry can with a flick of their wand.

The hot Butterbeer served only in winter will come in a special Christmas design mug. This will help make the infamous ‘Butterbeer mustache’ picture guests are so fond of taking even more magical. In addition, a special “Christmas Feast” meal presented as a luxury platter at the Three Broomsticks can be shared among friends and family as another unique wizarding world holiday experience.
Universal Studios Japan also launched their first Halloween special for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, running now through early November. Sadly no said special events have hit either American Wizarding World of Harry Potter attractions, in Orlando, Fla. or Hollywood, Calif.
