After leaving Durmstrang behind, Mason had to get used to the change for a while. Hogwarts was in every aspect different from his former school and he wasn't sure if he liked it. He was sorted in to Ravenclaw House after a couple seconds of sorting hat debating if he should be in Hufflepuff.

Mason spend his fifth year trying to keep up with his classes and as it was his OWL year he did not make a lot of friends yet. He liked to fly while at Durmstrang but his parents had taken his broomstick so he could focus on his studies. While the teenager had been looking for some books at the library, a couple of pixies attacked him by pushing a bookshelf on top of him. He was later rescued by the Librarian.

His sixth year started of bizar. After finding out that there was a treehouse on the grounds he had decided to take a look. While inside, the Ravenclaw got startled by Dora, a Gryffindor girl whom he isn't sure if he likes or not. When the girl had startled him he accidentally threw a can of soda in her face. She got mad saying that her hair was ruined now. (her hair, can you believe that!) Mason apologised but she was keen on dueling it out because she said he had to take out his wand. Apparently he had to do that because he had to clean her hair for her but he mistook it as 'lets duel' He refused at first which made Dora angrier and before he could use a shield charm, the girl had punched him. On the nose...breaking it...

Embarrassed, Mason had tried to hex her but his spells missed and he was eventually hit by a jelly finger curse which caused him to drop his wand which Dora picked up. He refused yet again to apologise and then she was gone. Knowing it was no use going after someone who had two wands and you yourself was bleeding and couldn't even hold a quill, Mason made his was towards the Hospital wing.

Here, the Healer pretty quickly found out how Mason had gotten his wounds but he was a sport enough to not laugh about it. The Healer fixed him up and after telling Mason that he could always come to talk about it if he needed, he set out to walk to the Gryffindor common room.

Of course, as a Ravenclaw he couldn't gain access to the place unless someone took him in but he was set on waiting by the portrait until Dora came out of it and demand his wand back.

But before he had even reached the common room, he walked past a strange pulsing light on the sixth floor. He had stood there, examining the portal as more people arrived. He was drawn to it and if it wasn't for the barrier that the Gryffindor Prefect had put up he would have gone through.

Leesha Griffel, a second year Slytherin had the same idea because she started to run towards the portal as if it were a fun game but before she got knocked out by the barrier, Mason had grabbed the back of her robe, pulling her back.

Leaving the portal behind after the Professor had told them so, he had completely forgotten about his wand being missing. When he woke up the next morning, he had received a message from his Head of House telling him that his wand was in his office. Embarrassed and a bit ashamed of himself, the Ravenclaw went to pick it up.

While time past by, Mason was on the second floor talking to Henry when the Charms Professor dressed in a santa claus suit brought him a letter. It was from Dora telling that she was sorry and if he wanted to meet at the library. Mason left and when he was there he found Dora there as welll. The two talked for a bit and he had to admit that he started to like her.

Until she mentioned that she wanted to have a date with him in Hogsmeade. Even wanted to kiss him afterwards. This struck him as odd and he thought it was a joke so he laughed about it. Wrong move. She began to get highly emotional to the point that Mason had no clue on what was going on and after Dora had shouted that she would have used him anyways to get someone else in his House jealous, Mason had become stone cold. He had told her that she wasn't right in the mind if that had been her reason for wanting to have a date with him and when she tried to make up again by saying that she still wanted to be friends, he refused.

With the new school rules in order, the Ravenclaw spend most of his time inside of the common room until he got word that there would be a search party for the poltergeists. Mason joined the group at the weasley swamp not because he wanted to work in a group but because he had been bored out of his mind despite the danger that the students were in. He had not seen a thing of this so called monster and as someone who has a first seeing then believing mentality he had thought that people were exaggerating.

When Miffy and Storm were found, he debated on whether he should go look at the portal or not but decided not to and went straight to the common room afterwards, feeling a bit down that he hadn't been able to study the portal or the monster inside for himself.
