The Professors had not spared the first years of a hearty amount of homework before the Christmas holidays. Rachel sighed dejectedly, bringing her arms up to hug herself in an attempt to get warmer. Yes, the Eagle was indeed miserable because she had been without her best friend for weeks now. She knew if they made up, she would be happier. But all her attempts at doing so had failed. Perhaps Haddie was better off without her.
With another sigh, Rachel wondered how to keep warm. She didn’t have to think long. At her sudden inspiration, she retrieved a small jar she had gotten to present Kitty to use as a spare jar for her worms when they were brought to Hogwarts next term. With a few muttered words, she cast the Bluebell Flame.
Smiling, she set the jar close, feeling the warmth of the blue flames.
