Is it to speed up the binding process of the trees...or is it to...fuse the natural elements of the scion and rootstock?” Important question number one! “Also...” Jace’s voice faded as he watched the man approach Azura. While wondering what happened to his friend, the Ravenclaw continued with his question. “Do you have a list of rootstocks and scions that are compatible to each other? How do we know it’s compatible?” he asked looking over Azura and Professor Myers. Merlin, she did hurt herself again, didn’t she?
Paul thought Jace’s questions were very good ones! "The spell, which literally means 'I join the trees' will morph the two together. Meld them together--however you want to word it!"
He nodded. “ I do have a list--somewhere--but typically...there are always exceptions, but MOST rootstocks will pair with any scion and vice versa…” he nodded. “But there are...lists of the stastically compatible pairings...I have some in my office.” He was always welcome to come take a look! “Well..if the tree survives--which honestly, if you take extra care of it, it SHOULD--it means the grafting has successfully been done!” SPOILER!!: Rachel and Azura Quote:

She really needed to work on her concentration. "I'm sorry." She said as she looked down at the handkerchief which was covering up her bloody hand and then she looked over at Rachel who had come over to see.. "I don't think it's that deep, I just haven't been able to finish cause of my hand." She asked as she looked over at Jace as he spoke to the Professor and she saw him looking over at him..
She gave him a thumbs up and turned back to Rachel and Professor Myers.. “Noooo, m’dear, don’t be sorry! It was merely an accident!” he told Azura softly. “Let me go get my kit... I am going to put a little bandage on your cut, Azura, to get it to stop bleeding. You can have the healer check it out later…” he smiled. “No need for alarm, my dear, I am sure! Are you able to finish?” he asked as he summoned the kit from under his desk. Healing spells were not his forte, and he would not mess up this child’s arm! So he pulled out some white bandages and quickly wrapped it around her cut. “Are you okay? Does it hurt?” he asked softly.
He smiled at Rachel. “ Thanks for the offer, you sweet child, but I think we have this handled!” What a nice gesture! SPOILER!!: Dima and Amur Quote:

AH, and more questions. RIGHT RIGHT! He grinned. “Everyone--once you have DONE your spell--take the tape off to make sure the spell worked correctly. As I explained to Jace, the spell is to fuse the trees together into one!” he nodded. “Once you unwrap your tree, just label it and leave it on your spot. Actually--leave all of the tree parts in your spots, too. I will take care of those--maybe I’ll try to graft them together and see if they take,” he shrugged. “One LAST question--which I KNOW has crossed the minds of some of you--do you think this form of Herbology, this grafting, is okay? Why or why not?” hehehe. He smirked.
