Clearly flirting his way into the common room wouldn’t work, but Sirius Black was willing to try despite. Though, James Potter was starting to get very impatient and Peter Pettigrew still had a divination essay to write.

“Let me try,” James pushed Sirius aside and cleared his throat. Ahem. “Knock, Knock…” he said to the portrait.

…. After a long silence, Sirius spoke up in his best Fat-Lady impersonation, “Who’s there?”

“Three very apologetic Gryffindors, now would you please let us in?”

Apparently knock-knock jokes don’t work either.
