27. Owl
This drabble is dedicated to Nordic Witch.

An owl swooped in the open window and landed on the kitchen table. ”Penelope! Owl for you,” her mother said. Penelope walked over to where the owl had dropped the letter. Probably just the supply list for sixth years. Picking up the envelope she found it to be slightly heavier than normal. Upon opening it she discovered that it was not just a supply list, but was in fact a letter from Mr. Kitridge that said she had been chosen to be a prefect as well as her new prefect badge. ”Mum! Dad! I’ve been chosen to be a prefect!”
