Upon graduating from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Emily was inducted into the YATI (Youth Auror Training Initiative) Program. A supplementary program designed to facilitate practical experience and introduce on-the-job training in an immediate way and at a fundamental level of Auror Training. This is conducted over a two year period in conjuction with part time employment at the Ministry of Magic in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.
Emily, determined and committed, completed her training and secured herself a position as an Auror in the British Ministry of Magic, though she considered moving to Prague on numerous occasions. After two years of qualified practice, Emily was promoted and received the title of YATIL, given the task of guiding and supporting new YATI recruits. Emily worked under three Head Aurors, each of whom have shaped the way she conducts herself. In late 2080, at the age of twenty-four, Emily was promoted to acting Head Auror, the youngest Head Auror in the British Ministry since Harry Potter at the age of twenty-six. Furthermore, after demonstrating her leadership skills and her ability to adapt to any situation - coupled with her strong work ethic, desire to learn and craving for responsibility - she was promoted to Department Head of Magical Law Enforcement, still not yet twenty-six.
Personal History:
Emily spent her early childhood being raised in the wizarding world. She
travelled around the world with her family and never stayed in one place too long. Emily spent most of her years in Europe with her mother Andrea Browne (née Larsson), living in France, Italy, Spain, Britain, Czech Republic and Germany to name a few. Emily grew up without knowing what a home was, that changed when she arrived at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Emily's father, Spencer Alexander Browne worked as a Hit-Wizard for an undisclosed agency before becoming an Auror for the Swedish Ministry of Magic, and served on loan temporarily to the neighbouring Norwegian Ministry of Magic. This was the primary reason for why she and her family moved so frequently. When Emily reached the age of seven, her mother rejoined the workforce, taking up the post of Professor of Transfiguration at the Durmstrang Institute of Magical Learning. In 2068 Spencer Browne retired from the Swedish Ministry to start up a private security firm with close friend and former colleague, Řehor Dvořák. They were based in Prague, Czech Republic. Between the ages of seven and fourteen, Emily was left in the care of her muggle godparents, Mark and Fiona Benson, who lived in Emily’s birth town of Birmingham, seeing her parents only on special occasions and during the holiday season. After this period, Emily would spend most summers and Christmas holidays in Prague with her father. In her youth, Emily spent a great deal of time in the company of family friend Xavier Harrison Black, but they grew apart upon his graduation from Hogwarts in 2070. During Emily’s final year at Hogwarts her father passed away in the line of duty, causing the rift between her and her mother to widen. After graduating from Hogwarts, Emily returned to Birmingham briefly to stay with her godparents while she looked for her own place. Determined not to see or deal with her mother again. Within a week she found herself an apartment in London and started a new chapter in her life.
Upon her induction into the YATI program, Emily took a back-seat approach to life, limiting her social interactions and refusing to form relationships with others. This was only spurred on by the dangers she encountered through on-the-job training at the Ministry with the Cult of Walpurgis. In this time however, she grew fond of two individuals. Sabel Dakest, fellow YATI in training proved to be a significant ally and almost a brother figure to her in the time they studied, trained and worked together and even to this day, she holds him dear. Blaise Carlisle also stole her heart, though his presence in her life had been limited to her first year and subsequently he left and broke her heart without so much as a goodbye. As a result of these strong but fragile relationships, Emily delved deeper into her work and erected walls to safeguard her from future hurt.
It wasn't until she was promoted to Department Head that she realized her career goals were being achieved well ahead of time, leaving her to question what to do with herself, her time and her accumulating wealth. Though she had long since cut herself off from forming emotional connections with people, Emily found charity to be a suitable distraction and a satisfying cause. It was here that she met Zeke Rogers, a muggleborn, destitute and soon to be orphaned boy with magical ability. Over time she took him under her wing and later adopted him upon his mothers demise. However Zeke was not the only person to weasel their way into Emily's life. Fellow Department Head and Senior Undersecretary to the Minister, Gavin Isaacs also captured her attention and somehow, miraculously, motivated her to start dating again.
Psychology:- Emily builds walls and deliberately shuts people out of her life. This is a defense mechanism not only for herself but often for the person she cares about. Conscious of the dangers of her occupation, Emily keeps those she cares about at arms length.
- As a result of the nature of her upbringing, Emily has difficulty making commitments and settling down. She moves frequently and keeps her location as tight-lipped as possible.
- She dislikes establishing routines outside of work, the exception being her training routine. Each morning Emily engages in a rigorous workout comprised of kick-boxing and running. She doesn't run in the same location twice in the same month and is almost always disguised.
- Stemming from her need to build defenses, Emily doesn't form close relationships with men and rarely dates. This is also partially as a result of her insecurities in forming relationships with men as they often leave her. Best friends, pseudo brother, ex boyfriends, mentors and her father, have all in their own way, 'left' her.
- Growing up with high expectations and a great deal of pressure, Emily has continually strived for excellence. She has extremely high expectations of herself and her standards reflect this. Often, she isn't able or willing to acknowledge or celebrate her achievements.
- Responsibility is one of the few things that Emily is quick to embrace, she craves it. This, in part, is what has lead her to be so successful academically and in her career.

■ Seren was a reasonably bright and bubbly student, and though she excelled in most subjects, she was often known for being a socialite. Gracing the library with cheerful laughter- often resulting in a scalding and a detention or two. And though Seren was in no way a trouble maker, she often found herself on the receiving end of punishment. Between starting or being involved in ferocious food fights, and wandering the halls after curfew... or tracking mud and dung through the castle, not to mention attempting to enter the forbidden forest whilst skipping Ancient Runes... no, she didn't have a clean record, but in many ways she was a model student. Needless to say her grades did not suffer, even if her mothers nerves did. Seren took pride in her studies and in her sports, excelling in quidditch since her second year, she played as a chaser until she graduated- after which she stopped, under her mothers' influence.
The Present ▙▟▛▜After graduating from Hogwarts, Seren began work as a Garden Designer. However, after a year of this she realised that she wasn’t satisfied and so began her studies in the field of Herbology- a passion of hers. Travelling to the four corners of the world Seren studied a variety of magical plants, trees and herbs. She began her journey in the Amazon Rainforest, though she also explored the untamed wilderness of the Swiss Alps, the Australian Outback and Daintree Rainforest, and Snowdonia National Park. She was particularly fascinated by plants of the Flesh-Eating variety, though she was also partial to plants with fangs. In 2071 she published her findings entitled, A Worlds Collection of Flesh-Eating Trees ,Shrubs and Plants and a year later released Fanged Flowers of the Amazon. Children and education had always been a passion of Seren’s so in 2071 after her adventures as a Herbologist she enrolled at the Cambridge University of Witchcraft and Wizardry, graduating two years later with Honours in Magical Education, specialising in Herbology.■

▙▟▛▜ The Story■ Seren Bentley, pureblood, was born to Addiena Monique Bentley- single mother and was raised in Cardiff, Wales. Though Seren grew up in a loving and caring environment with her mother and her grandparents, she always had an untameable curiosity to discover who her biological father was. Much to her dismay, her mother refused to disclose the information- for reasons unknown. This mystery had haunted Seren throughout her childhood and adolescence and still haunts her today. This is the reason why her boggart is a disembodied male voice, she fears being rejected by a man who wasn’t around for her. Despite this, Seren grew up to be an independent, cheerful young woman. Driven by her passions and motivated to make a difference in the world through the education of witches and wizards of the next generation. She plans to encourage children to explore their world, to understand it and to never stop learning, but most importantly to never stop asking questions. Because without questions, there wouldn’t be answers; questions are the most important weapons in an academics arsenal. Friendship is something that comes naturally to Seren, she has the uncanny knack of making friends with almost everyone she meets. Love on the other hand is something that does not come easily to her. Since she was young Seren had never been able to trust a man so much as to get close enough to him to form a serious romantic relationship. She fears heartbreak, this also stems from her issues concerning her absent father. Only one man has come close enough to taming this feisty herbologist, and who knows, perhaps he will.

Psychology:- As a result of his upbringing, Zeke is quick to take on the responsibility of caring for other peoples wellbeing, even if it means putting himself in harms way. Some consider it a brave gesture, others think it’s stupid, but the truth of the matter is that his actions are motivated by a sense of selflessness and his desire to keep others happy and healthy.
- While he is not considered ‘intelligent’ in the traditional sense, Zeke is very inquisitive. His mind is usually a mess of questions so if he is silent he might simply be contemplating which to ask first and which might be most appropriate. He seldom goes overboard by asking too many questions as he recognises that people don’t often respond well to being interrogated. So any question that he does raise, is only asked because he really truly wants to know.
- Zeke is a kinaesthetic learner and enjoys using his hands and his body to apply his learning. This helps explain his ease of learning and success in Potions, Charms, DADA, CoMC and Herbology.
- Eager to please, Zeke is a very generous person in all aspects of life. He will devote time, energy, money and resources to making the people he cares about happy.
- Despite his generosity and selflessness, Zeke also has the ability to be selfish. When he becomes attached to an idea, an object or a person he will be unwilling to part with it, or to share. He’s not averse to eating the last slice of cake even after his second helping.

╳ HISTORY ╳
Before discovering his magical abilities, Zeke lived as a muggle in the city of Birmingham. His father, Byron Rogers, worked as a coal miner until his death - a tragic mining accident - in 2079 when Zeke was just six years of age. His mother, Veronica Rogers (neé Whitesmith) worked little as a receptionist to a freight company and due to ill health wasn’t able to keep regular employment. Thus, Zeke and Veronica spent a number of years drifting between homeless shelters and half-way houses after defaulting on payments for their family home. The Birmingham City Community Hub took them in for a period of two years until Veronica lost her battle with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 2083. It was at this time that Zeke started his new life as a budding wizard with his new guardian Emily Browne whom he met during his stay at the Community Hub.
Adapting to his new life, Zeke embraced new routine, and very quickly became attached to his new family - including his adopted mum’s boyfriend and his nieces whom he refers to as his sisters. Zeke attended muggle school - much to his dismay - until he came of age for wizarding school. It was then that he embarked on a journey of self-discovery at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
His first year had been a trying and testing time. Zeke was sorted into Gryffindor house, and while he was initially upset that he wasn’t sorted into Ravenclaw like his adopted mum, he soon came to the realisation that he was braver than he thought. Among his successes in his first year, Zeke assisted in defeating a troll in potions class, he excelled in his studies earning him good marks all around and allowed him to become Gryffindor’s highest points earner for the school term. He also enjoyed the extra curricular’s - participating in Gobstones and being awarded Player of the Match during the term. He made friends easily, but the closest of which were Amur Neverwinter, Hady Lynch, Paige Skeeter and Frankie Paton.
Zeke’s second year was as eventful as his first. Academically he continued to do well in most areas, however cracks were forming in History of Magic and he found it increasingly difficult to take Muggle Studies seriously. Continuing the trend from his first year (when he won a Hippogriff race in CoMC) Zeke went on to win a Unicorn race also. Potions was a subject he excelled in and with the supervision and assistance of Professor Culloden, Zeke invented the Scotopia Sollution - a potion which gives the drinker night-vision. Perhaps among the most interesting developments of the school term - the emphasis of which was on the practice of cartomancy (something that Zeke thoroughly enjoyed) - was his accidentally-on-purpose opening of the Chamber of Secrets. While it has not been confirmed that he can speak Parseltongue, it has not been disproved either.
Third year was a quiet year for Zeke, though it definitely wasn’t for the school. Zeke persevered with History of Magic, Divination, Muggle Studies and Transfiguration and was not the least bit perturbed by the degradation of conditions inside the castle. He saw some action against the Acromantula’s that attacked the school when he was part of the small team that placed a Daydream Charm on the Entrance Hall - thus confusing the Acromantula’s and keeping them from advancing on his peers. More significantly however, it was at the close of this school year that Zeke discovered the delight of snogging girls. More specifically still, snogging Magdalena Traulton. There had been no doubt that he had enjoyed antagonising her on more than one occasion, which only added to his surprise when he discovered she had something to offer that he wanted.
In his fourth year, Zeke’s infatuation with Maggie Traulton grew, and after a mishap or two, he finally managed to persuade her to be his girlfriend. This wasn’t the only manner in which he was making a name for himself. Playing into a bit of a ‘bad-boy’ image, Zeke frequently skipped HoM class, attending only for the latter part of the year after a firm (though unrelated) talking to by Professor Dakest. Making an effort, Zeke managed his time better and was motivated by his desire to succeed in the Duelling Club and Tournament that was initiated during the year. With diligent training and practice, Zeke won all of his matches to secure himself a place in the final against Thornton Baines. His most highly regarded achievement to date, was winning that match and securing the title of Duelling Champion for his tournament rank.
