Ah, the first student. Archie grinned a little too widely, just pleased that any student was giving his lesson the time of day. He really did hope he wouldn't disappoint. Especially after the example of Professor Walton. "Good morning!" Yes. HELLO!!

Millard got an apologetic look before the boy turned his attention to the table.

Oh look! He was among the first to arrive. Spotting Margo, the fifth year decided he would sit next to her for this lesson. "Hey, Margo. How are you?'' As he spoke to her, Adi set about retrieving his text book and quill from his bag.
And another!! Professor-Groundskeeper Millard, huh? Archie didn't really mind being called that, so he wasn't sure why the boy was apologizing. "No need to apologize. Professor Millard will do fine next time around." He smiled.

Shrug.

Dante had nothing against the Groundkeeper or should he say Herbology Professor now. Both. It was a little confusing. Anyway, He was cool in his own way.Dante was still going to be polite like usual and call him Professor instead of just Groundskeeper. This polite thing was hard work.

"Hi, Professor M"

Gloves ready, and wand away. No fire in this classroom. Grayson has hot enough as it is.

No need for Dante's help anymore.
Professor M.

Wow, just, wow... Archie loved this. He LOVED the students so far, he wanted to cuddle them!! Probably a bit too soon for anything like that, though. He remained his posture, keeping calm as possible. "Hey, there!" Archie gave the kid a weird pointy-cool-dude gesture thing.

"Hello Professor," he told him with a smile as he walked in and took his usual seat.
These were a bunch of very smiley children so far. Archie only hoped it meant that they were all extremely excited about learning Herbology as opposed to just being friendly. LEARNING, YEAH! "Good morning!" He replied.

He must be nervous teaching a group of new students.

The big puff went to go find his seat and he saw Margo was there. Perfect person to sit next to. He took his seat right beside her and smiled, "Heyy Margo." he greeted her with a one armed hug.
"Hello to you, too." He replied with a smile and a nod. Oh, chatting. Okay, he was cool with that. To an extent. Archie still kept an eye on them. And blimey, Margo was popular today!

Then Janelle took a moment to unpack her things. Deciding that she was all set, she sat back and waited.
Jeeeeez, these kids were piling in! Archie was having a bit of a hard time catching up with the hellos. Let alone, catching up with the nerves that were getting worse and worse. "Good morning!" Deeeeeeep breathe!

A person could get eaten alive by one if they didn't know what they were doing.

Kate strolled into the greenhouse and took a look around. "Hello, Professor," she said, noting the professor nearby. Was it just her, or did the professor seem like he'd just encountered a Venomous Tentacula? She slid into an empty seat by Janelle then waited for everybody else to arrive.
"Hello there, miss." He really wanted to ask everyone's names but it was most definitely a better idea to wait until everybody had arrived. Archie was a little surprised that no one had introduced themselves to him yet.

What a lovely smile to be welcomed with! Especially when Archie was feeling extra nervous, this was what he was hoping for. "Good morning! Lovely to see such a cheerful face this fine morning." That meant she was ready to LEARN, right?

"Hello, Professor Millard." After giving him a big smile she made her way over to find a place to sit, waving at her friends as she passed. In the end she took the seat beside Kace who had Margo on his other side. "Hey, guys!"
Being called by his actual name was lovely. Nice to know some students made the effort to find those things out. "Hello, miss..." Miss........ too bad he wasn't sure on her name.

Here comes another student! Archie could feel a sweat coming on. "Good day." Ahh, how lovely. "I'm fantastic, thank you." Not entirely true, but... "and how are you, miss...?" He left that open for her to tell him.

...Not really, but her marks were on the line and she had responsibilities and blah blah blah. She was already mentally preparing herself for her dad's onslaught of questions about school the next time she'd see him. And on this she couldn't just bat her eyelashes and get out of it.

On this specific day, though, she was in a good mood because Valentina had agreed to come down with her, which was a miracle considering the girl was like an angry little hermit.

"Sit with me," she said mumbled, linking her arm around her friends and leading them to two empty seats. And there was the professor, all little and nodding. "Good day, professor," she greeted with a formal nod, even though he didn't look like he'd respond.

Passing by the small man in front of the greenhouse, Valentina's eyes widened. She was bewildered...what happened to the rest of him? Or was that it? He forgot to grow...

Valentina continued walking next Beverly, until reaching their seats. The young Gyffindor was extremely socially selective, therefore her effort to speak to other students was low...very low.

Glancing around she eyed those who were already here and those who were barely arriving as well.
Here were two ladies who knew where they were going. And they were going together! Archie smiled at them both, but apparently only one was in the mood for greeting him. In fact, the quiet girl was looking at him rather funny... "Hello to you both." He nodded back.

Paloma walked quietly into the greenhouse, trying to make a nice entrance. "Hello, Professor...having a good day?" Bet he was, he didn't look too nervous.

Waiting for his answer, Pal looked around. Who could she sit with? Or just really share the activities with?
"Hello, there." Archie smiled warmly. "Yes..." He finally pulled his hands from behind his back and rubbed them together. "I am, thank you. I hope you are as well?" He certainly hoped he could make Herbology a pleasant experience for them all, at least.

Making her way towards the room she was rather glad she wore her hoodie underneath her robes today. It was a little bit cool outside. Not freezing but cool enough to give her a small chill which she wasn't all that thrilled about. Fidgeting a little bit with the pendent around her neck Hady glanced about as she entered the greenhouse. It seemed to look the same as usual.

"Hello Professor." Hady greeted warmly making her way for an empty seat she slipped herself onto it setting her bag at her feet. Now all she needed was for class to start.
Even mooooooore kids. "Good morning!" He replied brightly to the next student to enter the greenhouse. Was this a small burst of confidence he was beginning to feel??

This one almost went under the radar with the amount of students coming through the door. Archie managed to catch her greeting and replied after standing on his tippy-toes to look at her. "Hello, there!" He said quietly.

The third year came to a skidding halt in front of Professor Millard and gave him a big grin. "Hi, Professor!" Ehehehe. Herbology was just the BEST okay? Veryveryvery exciting. Veryveryvery. Once she found an empty seat, Norah plopped her bag down next to it and sat down, wiggling excitedly because HERBOLOGY. DUH.
Oh, hello excitement!!

The young student's brightness bounced right off of Archie and he grinned widely back at her. "Well, good morning to you!" He chuckled as she found a seat. Excited to learn. That's what he liked to see.

AJ made her way down to the greenhouses and was surprised to see that she wasn't running as late as usual. Was her punctuality actually getting better? Most likely not. She would just chalk this up to luck. "Hello, professor." He seemed like he was trying REALLY hard to not seem nervous. Hmm.

There was Adi, and there was actually a spot available next to him. AJ went over and plopped down beside him. She gave him a nice shoulder bump that clearly said hello.
Archie tapped his watch, feeling sure that it was almost time for class to begin. Looked like there were still a few kids arriving, though. Here was the next! "Good morning, miss." He smiled.

Toby had a smile plastered on his face, same as he usually did, as he entered the greenhouses and approached the big table for a free seat. He saluted Professor Millard as he went.

"Alright Professor?" he said by way of greeting, settling down and pulling out some things to take notes with. "Nice day." Was it? Toby hadn't actually checked, despite the outdoor trek he'd just taken to get here. But y'know... automatic politeness and small talk had a tendency to kick in sometimes.
Honestly, Archie wasn't expecting students to turn up to his class, let alone show enthusiasm towards it. It was nice to know that the kids were gonna give their ol' groundskeeper a chance. 'Course, he still had to prove himself. "Hello." He paused, wondering how to possibly answer 'alright professor?' "Not too bad, thank you, sir." SIR? Who was the teacher here? "And yes, lovely day." Bit chilly, but not to complain.

How on Earth was he going to remember these names? "Good morning." He replied politely with a smile.

It would be interesting to see how the new professor handled lessons....even if the man wasn't new to staff. Benny himself hadn't had any real interactions with the groundskeeper before.

Entering the assigned greenhouse, the Gryffindor noticed quite a few people already there, including the professor, Adi, Angel and AJ. Seemed he was the last of their little group to arrive downstairs for the lesson. A downfall of having to go back and retrieve something when he had been halfway down. "Good day, Professor," he greeted before heading to take a seat next to Angel.

"Hey..." he greeted her and the other two nearby.
Checking his watch again, Archie edged a little closer to the door to get ready to close it. But it looked like there were STILL people coming. Wow, how big was this school? "Hello, there." He bowed his head and stood idly RIGHT by the entrance. Subtle hint to wind down, ya'll.

At least, not according to Cutty's mind.
"Yes." He said straight away, confirming his name. "Hello, yes, hello." Oh, another chatter. Archie would remember to keep another eye on that one. The NOISE in this room was getting heavier. How was HE (eeny-weeny-Millard) going to calm these kids down???

But alas, sometimes good things weren't meant to happen. SIGH.

Though, any person had to be a step up from the last guy. So yeah, the Gryffindor had the tiniest smile on his face as he made his way inside. "Hello, sir." Woah, Professor was kinda short, huh? Now uh... Where to sit?
"Hello, there." Archie grinned, especially when he saw the prefect badge shining on the boy. "Welcome to Herbology!" Was that weird to say?

"Heelloooo groundskeeper, professor person, Millard, Sir!" Cue SALUTE.

Were they playing with fleshies today? the fire plant things? anything that could strangle them? kill them? poison them? eat them? PLEASE!
O___O

What did that student just call him? Professor person. How rude. "Errr..." He said quietly, but he covered it with a polite smile. "Just Professor Millard will do, thank you." This kid looked like he could do with a sit down and a calm down. Maybe with a book?

Wow, these prefects were pushing it for time, weren't they? Archie inched even closer to the door but still smiled at the girl. "Hello, there! And welcome!" He waved his arm and gestured towards the work area. Come on in!

If anything, she’d find out if her original opinion of the subject was still true.

“Hello, Professor Millard,” she greeted the small man, silently adding the groundskeeper part. It was what he was after all, but she’d be polite. At least she wouldn’t have to deal with an overly cheery professor. A sort of scared looking one was interesting. She’d made her way over to a seat near Hady either way, in case they’d be working in groups again. They’d worked okay together before. She couldn’t tell what they’d be dealing with, though. All she’d seen was the normal greenhouse stuff and the groundskeeper. Who, now that she thought about it, should at least know how to take care of plants.
"Hello, hello!" He seemed to be getting more chirpy... because he REALLY wanted to close that door. Archie checked his watch again.

ANYWAYS. He was here. Herbology. A subject he wasn't tooooo sure about. It was cool in that they had dealt with vicious flesh-eating plants before but then there were the ridiculously airy fairy ones that only made the sixteen year old turn his nose up at.

Entering the greenhouse, the Slytherin gave Millard a 'sup nod while saying, "Hey, Professor!" Seat? Yeah, he was gonna go and sit riiiiiight over there in that empty seat that was close to the back of the greenhouse. This was where the cool people sat, obviously.
"Hello there, young sir!" Archie wasn't sure where this sir thing was coming from, but he didn't like it. He watched the Slytherin slither all the way to the back of the greenhouse. Oh, we see how it is.

Even if his revenge was simply stealing the plants but he guessed it had been a big motion for him.

With this in his mind, Kevin had a slight smile on his face as he thought back. By being to much in thought, he failed to recognize the Professor waiting at the door and he walked past him without saying anything. Not that he cared of course, since he usually didn't greet Professors in general.

Spotting his best friend, Zander in the crowd, Kevin immediately walked towards him and sat down next to him. "Ay man" he greeted and it was then that he noticed the Professor standing near the door. He knew he had been the Groundskeeper as well but he had never seen him before so close. "He's so short" he whispered to the Prefect and laughed.
Not being greeted seemed to be out of the question at this school, so when the very last student popped into the room without a word, he was a little surprised. Archie nodded his head anyway, but he didn't even seem to notice.

And SLAM, went that door!!

Probably the best way for this short man to make a statement, he supposed. He cleared his throat and made his way back to the front of the greenhouse. "Hello, everyone." Archie's arms were raised for a moment, as if he was trying to let the students know that he was actually standing there. Hello?!? Yes. Let's begin. "For those of you who don't know me," Which they SHOULD because he was here last year... who was he kidding, these kids didn't know him. "My name is Professor Millard." Heh. Professor. "As well as being your groundskeeper, I am also your new Herbology professor. Please try and keep noise to a minimum. I don't have the loudest voice in Hogwarts!" Archie let out a short snort!chuckle.

He soon stopped laughing and pretended to pass it off as a cough.

AheM.

"Anyway. Excuse me." He finally clapped his raised hands together, then placed them behind his back. "As this is our first lesson together, I would like to learn your names as best as I can. I've got a roll of blank stickers, so if you could all write your name on there and stick it on your robes, that would be very helpful!" Archie passed the roll of stickers to the first person on his right.

"Anyway... moving onto Herbology..." So much to say for such a little voice box. Nervous, little voice box. Archie paused to breath in the air of plant excretion. It was GOOD for you, you know. "Such a WIDE subject, really... today we are going to, I suppose, carry on slightly from last term's lessons with your last professor." The lovely Andy. He was nice from what Archie knew of him at least. He didn't know him.

"Before we look at actual plants today, I want to ask you all a simple question. What is a toadstool? Please, feel free to expand on your answer. I'm looking for different types, characteristics, uses... everything!" Archie clapped again, (was this becoming a thing?) which meant GO... basically.

ooc: Class has officially started! Any latecomers from this point will lose points. Just pretend you have been here the whole time! Will be continuing tomorrow afternoon-ish.
