18. Whomping Willow
Penelope was under the whomping willow, looking for animal prints in the snow. What few prints that were there were quickly being covered by snow.
”I think I found something!” Snow fell from the whomping willow, covering the prints she had been looking at. Looking up, she realized, too late, that a branch was coming down upon her. Penelope was knocked down into the snow. Snow covered the first year. She was going to freeze to death. Arista uncovered Penelope and grabbed her out of the snow. Never again would she go that close to the whomping willow.
