First week at a new job and he was already being bombarded with quite a few owls. At first they were congratulatory and he kept the cards sitting on his desk. Parents were always worried about one thing or the other and while he understood their concern, half of them needed to take a calming potion or the like. Seriously.

The thirty year old merely glanced over his shoulder as another owl swooped in through the window and deposited a letter on his desk. Rolling his eyes and shaking his head, he turned back to the whiteboard to continue writing up important notices he could mention in his first meeting when......

......... there was a knock on the door.

"Come in!" he called, capping the lid of the marker and turning to look towards the door.
