We'll go for the Jera rune for now, it's less stable and doesn't have that protective energy as much as Hagalaz. Then we can break the resulting ward (Hagalaz, Thurisaz, reversed Teiwaz) at Thurisaz, the new weak spot.

"Third line we have Isa. It represents ice in the literal sense, yes, but it also dictates stillness. It offers the curse a stable state." Botros turned away from the blackboard and leaned forward on the desk. "That's the most important step in breaking a runic ward. If you choose the wrong runes, it could take you ages to be able to break the curse." He saw this happen to his apprentices.
