An owl and a toad.
Ben had as much uncertainty about it working as Conrad, his familiar did. However the Hufflepuff and his own companion both seemed much more enthused. Maybe pets really were like their owners. All the second years could do was watch and wait to see what the creatures would do.
“Hoot…” the owl let out, cocking his head to the side as he finally let the toad approach without moving in response.
“Looks like they might be friends,” Adi mused with a smile, watching the two creatures. Ben couldn’t help but agree. Maybe they would too.
