Needing no assistance to keep his back straight, Airey still needed to rely on his cane to help him move about - which made this whole thing a bit more awkward than it already was. He probably should have just taken up Mr. Odessa's offer...but too late now. The show must go on!

"The first step is a simple step to the left while turned to the right," he said while doing so himself. "And the, er, the other follows. Small steps. Next movement is a bit bigger, the person leading is going to make a full 180 turn and face the center of the dance floor, ball of the right foot back to accomplish this with your partner, in my case Miss Emmons, steps on the ball of her right left." He paused a moment to allow others to catch up and for Mr. Branxton and Mr. Bart to give it a go as well. "Step three is lowering on to flat feet. Person in the lead position with their weight on the left foot while the other person has their weight on the right....and you are half way there! The remaining three steps are, in its basic form, a role reversal where instead of myself and Mr. Branxton leading the rotation, it will be Mr. Bart and Miss Emmons."

He released his hold on Miss Emmons and turned to face the front of the room while balancing on his cane some more.

"Let's have a hand for Mr. Branxton, Mr. Bart, and Miss Emmons! Thank you, you may return to where you were." he said while clapping loudly. "Now that you all have seen the steps, you may find a partner. ALL I ask is that you changes things up a bit. You all have the student leader's event to dance with your significant others and best friends, so for the sake of the next activity please partner with someone you may not know as well," he continued. Partly this was because he really did want students to keep pushing out of their comfort zones and mingle more among each other. It was so easy to get stuck in the same group of people all the time. Good friends and all. He had been that way as a student. He understood the comfort in familiarity. Tiberius and him had been dance partners during their dance lessons while at Hogwarts. "Once you have found a partner you can start practicing together. The taller of the two of you taking the lead. I'll give you ten minutes to partner-up and practice before we start a little competition."

OOC: Go ahead and partner up look at this as a good IC and OOC opportunity to maybe RP with someone you don't usually! LET'S ALL BE AWKWARD IC TOGETHER!
