Professor--it still felt weird, but Cosgrach answered to the call without visible hesitation.

"I'm afraid they can't form a shell anymore," he said--it was a shame, he knew, "but they will be used again, yes." Err... he wasn't that enthusiastic about creatures to ask for their permission. Was she?

"I hope so." To the other student before she could question him more about firecrabs.

Students.

Cosgrach walked to the girl to hear her better as she asked her question, and he peeked at her cauldron to make sure she was doing it right.

...no. "You stirred seven times clockwise, instead of counter clockwise," he pointed out to her. He wasn't going to vanish her potion, but she could probably guess it was going to be slightly different than the others'. He didn't make any further comment on it, though, so that was her cue to keep going.

"Because we want it to tickle before anything else," he said. Anything else?

"Professor how do I fix this?"
Cosgrach moved to the next student with a minor problem, and he shook his head to himself.

"I hope you were sure your knife was clean," he said, ignoring her question at a first glance. "Please clean everything before using." Clear? As for her question, he indicated his table. "Throw that in the bin and get a new slug." And make sure you cut it correctly this time. Because she wasn't getting any more slugs.

Taste it NOW--AHLDJAL Cosgrach BELLOWED a panicked "NO!" towards her.

NO. TRYING. YET.

Okay. Calm breaths. She wasn't going to try it. He could calm down. Okay.

There was DEFINITELY something going on here.

Cosgrach watched them from afar as he caught some of what Bart was saying. Come to think about it... he had been too distracted to pay attention, yes, but the Puff didn't say his name, and Cosgrach could tell he was one of those types who would hate it if he was to drink the potion. The former Slytherin man thought his options: he could still make him drink it for... reasons, or he could let go.

Hmm. Did he want a student to hate him? More importantly, did he want these two to have bigger problems?

Ye--no. That wouldn't be professional at all. So, directing his gaze at others, he decided to let the Puff off the hook... for now.

Cosgrach walked to the centre in front again and clapped his hand for the last time that day, hopefully.

"Last two steps, everyone. Please add 8 drops of salamander blood. Alternate between two stirs counter-clock wise, two stirs clock-wise. Repeat that for four times, so in the end, you should have stirred for 16 times in total. Once done with stirring, the potion should be dark blue like a night sky. If it is so, you potion is ready." He grinned at them excitedly. They had made it!

"Now, Alice and Bart have already volunteered to demonstrate and share the feeling," he said as he looked at them, "and I want one more volunteer. Someone not from Gryffindor, please." Who was that courageous?

"Those who don't want to volunteer may add flobberworm’s mucus to keep it in their mouths better--it will solidify the potion. It's up to you how much or if, really, but don't add more than a tablespoon of it, and it's not my responsibility if you don't add and swallow some while breathing." So he was warning them. The rest was their responsibility.

"Please wait for the volunteers to share the feeling before trying the potion."

So, the third volunteer?
