Cosgrach pondered his question, then sloooowly nodded.

"It is still an important figure especially in Far East," he said, "although I wouldn't outright say a deity. Maybe with the tribes that worship fire, but they are all muggles." There were still such tribes, as far as he knew, but did they know dragons? Cosgrach wasn't sure.

"7 points to Gryffindor," he said, because she wasn't just doing it for him, she was actually TEACHING him. Good. Another face to remember for him.

Cosgrach WAS the professor here, so he took the liberty to peek at her notes, then walked to her.

"It's not dogbreath potion, Miss," he said, "that's a different one. This doesn't have a special name. 'Fire-breathing' or 'Hey I'm a dragon!' would do." Don't judge him if he wasn't on his creative day.

Now, this was a good question. He nodded at her. "It is, in some. But healing plants are much more often used, because people get nauseous when you mention 'blood'." Sissies. "There isn't much difference between them. The problem with potions is, they are a mixture, so you have to see how an ingredient will react to the others. For example; in this potion, a plant would still protect the inside of the mouth, but the fire itself wouldn't be curative, because salamander is of dragon's family, so their blood must be used for maximum efficiency."

And what exactly is mycosis fungus? He headed to the Professor's desk, collected the first three ingredients, set them up on his workstation and turned to his cauldron, examining it. Had to make sure it was clean, you know. Those five Cs still stuck with him.

Having determined it was clean enough, Adi pointed his wand on the inside. "Aguamenti!'' When it was one- third filled, ''Finite!'' Now to wait for the next step.

Excited and potions were two words that did not go together in the same sentence for Alex.

She went up to the Professor's desk to get the ingredients for her potion. Some of them sounded pretty nasty, but it was kinda hard to escape ickiness in Potions class. Alex returned to her desk and carefully placed her ingredients on it. Then she took out her wand and said, "Aguamenti", filling her cauldron with the appropriate amount of water. She stopped to ponder whether or not she had any questions for the Professor.
Cosgrach didn't even hesitate to VANISH the water in their cauldrons one by one without explaining anything at first. He then stared at their EYES, sighed, and said "Clean EVERYTHING before doing something in potions, okay? No matter how clean it looks, you may never know."

They were lucky they would only have to repeat step one.

Oh, of course! Cosgrach nodded at her.

"I don't think I'm the person to teach you," he said, because he would be FURIOUS if someone tried to teach his lesson to 'help' someone, "but watch my steps closely." Drawing his wand, he stepped over the cauldron and drew an 'S' slowly while he said "Scourgify." He then turned his gaze at her.

"This is a cleaning spell and we must clean everything before we use them." She could guess why, right? Then, drawing a horizontal 'S', he said "Aguamenti," and a jet of water shot from the tip of his wand. He said "Finite," when he deemed it was enough, and looked back at the girl.

"Everyting okay? Do you need anything else?"

"Aquamenti!" ...nothing... stupid spell!
...Cosgrach wasn't going to try to help him unless he asked him to. 'Sides, it was just FUN watching him, so...

Watching occasionally, and being amused. Yep.

I think my friend here will do it with me if you need two people." He smirked at the back of Ian's head and quieter leaned forward, "Unless you're scared." because that would make him baby book boy instead of just book boy. There was one thing that Bart wasn't and that was scared of things.

He hated this part of everything, but at least brewing potions was something he enjoyed it wasn't really work when he was having fun. "So the longer we want to breath fire the more ingredients we use?" So could he double the potion, could that be an option. Well probably not, but maybe he could weazle his way into doing more later. "What if we want huge flames does that depend on how much we blow or on the ingredients itself?" Because he wanted HUGE flames.
...this boy.

Guinea pig, experimentee, volunteer! Cosgrach nodded at him with a sly grin on his face.

"Great, then! You, son, will try it and share your feelings with the class.

"Oh, your friend wants to show too? Fantastic! What are your names?"
He, then turned to other students and of course, missed the exchange between boys as he looked at the class, and only focused on them when Bart's hand was in the air again.

"Yes, but it's based on some definite ratio and not 'let's double all the ingredients'. This amount should last for approximately fifteen minutes.

"And yes again, to your second question. It is both blowing more air and ingredients. But I should warn you, it will run out faster if you blow harder."
So he had to make his choice well.

Cosgrach checked his watch. They had to move on.

"You ARE cleaning your cauldrons and mortars and stuff before using them, right?" So that they didn't forget the 'cleanness' rule? Because he'd had to correct 3-4 students already, and he didn't want anyone to fall behind because of that.

"The next step is: Add the powdered feather and stir clock wise with a wooden stick until it looks homogenous, then turn the heater to high and add culture of mycosis fungus into your mortar. I advise you wear your gloves before doing that, because mycosis fungus is a parasite that lives on your skin and may leave permanent white stains if not cured in time. The curing process is... hard, to mildly put it, and they cause odour after a while."

Could he scare them enough? Hehe

"Once they are in the mortar, crush them with pestle for thirty seconds or so, add some water on them and shake the mortar a little for them to mix better with water. Then, add them calmly to the potion."
