OooooOOOH. Building a circuit. Tobias had a vague memory of doing this way back in primary school. The main thing he remembered were the little safety clips used the clamp on to stuff so the current could go through. Tobias mainly remembered those because he would clamp them onto the ends of his fingers and when he took them off there would be 'teeth' marks.

He raised his hand to give it a go, but couldn't quite remember exactly HOW they'd done it when he was younger.

"Oh yeah, and with bigger electric things muggles always need to make sure they ground themselves with like... rubber or something. I think that's an insulator."

"Yes. Wire, very good. More specifically, we'll be using an insulated copper wire," Hadley nodded at the two young hufflepuffs, as she added 'insulated copper wire' below where she wrote 'switch'.

"Two more items. One ... is your evidence for how you know that the circuit works? You need some sort of visible way to see if it works, yes?" That was a hint.

"There's actually another two items which aren't necessarily needed in the actual circuit, but just as aids to help you build the circuit." So there were six items. But she supposed that she could have them use magic instead of one of the supply items. Diffindo would work nicely enough.
