But anyway back to the matter at hand... Potions. All of the ingredients were listed on her parchment verbatim as LaStreak put them for them all to see. And she had a question...

Raising her hand she chewed on her lip briefly before speaking, "I think it's fair to say that water is typically the base for most potions. What sets this particular potion apart, Professor? Is it the fact that this potion will not be ingested? That it is used to render the intended target ... wonky and all? And why milk?" Lowering her hand the girls face turned tomato red... was it okay to ask such questions of this particular professor?

It was just... the girl was a Ravenclaw. So CLEARLY she had questions.
Hecate turned to the girl and shrugged. "I didn't create the potion, but if you look through past potions recipe ingredients, you will see that although more used, water isn't always a potion base. Bone regenerative potions have milk bases... there is one that has a flobberworm mucus base... not to mention other potions with other bases. It isn't a special potion, it's just that sometimes you need thicker bases. Curdled milk is something that emits a horrible smell..."

Which made him think of a question so he put his hand up. "Professor, does it work on Muggles? I mean, if they don't know about the full extent of what it could mean, you're just left with the stink of it, and how some potions don't work for Muggles, I just wondered...." Would it?
She smirked at the boy. "It's a good question. A Muggle's brain is wired slightly differently than a wizards. But in this case, the potion will work in the same manner... the muggle will be disgusted and could pass out. As they don't know about Stinkitus, they are in no danger of contracting it."

Was not that better? Dung? And it was not only dung but also 'Mountain Troll Dung'. Now he could clearly see why this potion was not supposed to be drunk. Yet still...he was yet to understand the full purpose of brewing this potion. Maybe to gross someone out? But there could be many other easier ways to do that. He could think of many. And he was sure that this Dragon Lady knew a few as well. So there had to be another purpose.

Mountain Troll Dung...

The Slytherin snorted as he took out a new parchment and quill from his bag to take notes and write the list of ingredients. Once he was done, he raised a hand to ask a question. ''Professor...the milk. What kind of milk it is? Cow, goat, sheep or whatever.''
"Did you not hear me confirm Cow Milk Master Turner?" She said getting annoyed.

"If you have not gone to get your ingredients, do go now..." She said beginning to get irritated. "The troll dung is in pre-measured jars try to get some with chunks..."

She scurgified her cauldron and summoned the milk, pouring it into the cauldron. "Then fill your cauldron half way with the milk and start your burner on a low fire."
