What if he lost his balance in the boat on the water and fell IN the water?

But that wasn't his main problem right now. He first needed to transfigurate a boat or coracle with sticks. He took his wand out of his wrist holster after picking a few sticks and placed them in front of them. He pointed his wand at one of the sticks in a downwards motion and circled it around while saying "Vegrandis Navis!".

A few seconds passed in which nothing happened and when the Professor had demonstrated it the stick transfigurated immediately , meaning that he had failed. Of course he wasn't even surprised by this because he had done some reading about his wand type because he was always annoyed that he couldn't do spells at the first try when even younger students could do it. He had found out that his phoenix feather wand was one of the most powerful wands yet at the same time the hardest to handle. Which could mean why he usually failed. Eventhough he was honored that such a wand had chosen him, he was also annoyed by it.

But that did not mean he would give up so easily. It meant that he needed to try even harder and even Professor Lafay had told him once that he just needed to concentrate better. So he re pointed his phoenix wand at the stick below him and circled it around while saying the incantation with the utmost concentration. But again, nothing happened.

Powerful wand or not, this was stupid! The slytherin couldn't help but pout his lips as he looked around at the other students. Hearing Kurumi having difficulty pronouncing the incantation wrong due to her accent made him chuckle though.

He was going to try one last time, if it still didn't work he would just ask if he could use the boat thingy the Professor had made~ "Vegrandis Navis!" He said confidently and again with concentration written on his face. His eyes widened a bit when the stick moved and began to transfigure. It expanded , became a little hollow aaaaaaand....

It went back to being a normal stick.

He stared at it for a few seconds and nodded his head. "Professor, can i use your boat please? mine doesn't work" he pointed to his stick with a blank expression as he watched how the woman transfigurated a plastic tub out of the grass like "woah"
So some of them were having a little trouble it seemed. Isabelle sighed and looked over at Daichi when he spoke to her. "Quitters never win, and winners never quit, Mister Katharos. Which is my way of saying: no. Keep going, you will get it, I assure you."

Besides he had plenty of time to practice. She gave him a smile as she walked off.

Looking at the tub the professor had conjured made Sarah all excited. She lifted her boat without difficulty - maybe she was not a weakling - although she always lost the wrestling matches with her brothers. She plopped it into the water, putting it against the edge in order to help her climb in. Right foot first Sarah daintily hopped into her boat and sat there. "Professor, are the boats water proof? Does water not harm wood - not that we need these boats to be long lasting or have nice aesthetics of course" she asked the professor from her perch, her eyes scanning the boat for any signs of leakage. She looked like just a jerk would or a sudden movement would send her scurrying away in fright.
Several of the students were taking advantage of the tank Issy had provided for them, which was pleasing to see. And so far none of them had sunk. Which was even better. Although Kurumi looked a little nervous moving away from the edge. "You all right, Miss Hollingberry?" she called, nodding at her and hoping for some kind of thumbs up.

"Sorry, Sarah, what were you saying?" Isabelle had caught the tail end of the question, but could work out the general gist of it. "Water does rot wood after a certain amount of time, but as you say we're not using them for long. If you were you would need to treat them, as muggles do, or place spells on them to make them perfect."

Clapping her hands, Issy stepped forward and waved towards those that were in the tank to get their attention as well. Making sure she was in a place they could all see her, she began to speak. "Now, I know some you would wish to carry on with the current spell, but I'm going to fill you all in on the one for the paddle. It is the coracle spell you will be repeating over and over for the game later, so this is slightly less important for that. But I expect you all to take it just as seriously."

Placing another stick on the ground, Isabelle flexed her arms and pointed her wand at it. "Ta-lea!" She drew a horizontal line in the air, finished with a little loop at the end. The small stick began to stretch in length and width, one end of it becoming broader and flatter than the rest. Once completed a paddle was in it's place. "See? The wand movement is a line and loop, as if you are drawing the shape of a spoon in the air." That made sense right? They could visualise a spoon. Well, as long as they didn't create one.

"If there are no questions, you can go ahead and try this spell too. Or carry on for a while to get your coracle just right." Issy smiled and stowed her wand back in it's holster. She was done with it for now.

OOC: Again, I'll be off to bed soon, so please make sure you read all IC instructions and follow them. Next post in about 15 hours or so.
